Yes I noticed, it was indeed friendly. Based on the pa and the Trichet PressC I got a some what bigger trade, but closed it to early, because of the news I was not confident enough.
Further it really reacted well on my pricelevels so I am getting more confident on that. Though I still make enough mistakes on my entry's.
Nothing experience won`t solve , for every perfect entry I have . I have 2-3 late/early entries.

trades are done. if i have to guess, the major move in early ny has been up, so i would expect this thing to continue after lunch. but keep in mind that london is closed, so lighter volume to deal with.

major reversals or turning points, most times, happen at the beginning of new session.
if you know what to look for, it's not that difficult to spot them. timing is crucial.

I'm new to trading so I can't give good advice. But, If there is one thing I do know, it's work ethic. If you want to take something serious, you have to set aside the time you need to be successful. If you are always going to be away from the market during peak trading hours, then you aren't even close to taking this seriously.

Never sweat missing moves... I caught it alright... about 50 pips early so I got to develop ulcers throughout the London session until the charge up with NY.
