Are there any Bond experts here ? Just wondering what the risks are of investing in some high-yielding junkies instead of longing the Euro. If Euro goes up, then would the Junk Bonds provide a better rate of return ??

I was referring to the 9a.m. GMT close, and it was a "question reply" of Cloggie's post with number 11.
I would have expected if it closes below 11 (it did at 1.43079) that it would reach for 1.4297 (or actually 02) first. So I still got enough to learn. Not in any trade at the moment, just watching PA and learning from it.

dont invest in something you dont have any clue about....thats all i can say about bonds ^^

ISM was in the mean not really lower in reality. More important IMO, is not the few ticks below but it confirms the last 3 months sluggish mood of the US economy (barely expanding ...compare it with the years when the US was on track).

Difficult if not impossible to forecast NFP only based in that ISM. Wait for ADP today for a better reference.

Thanks for those thoughts Sisse... The mood here (in the U.S.) is less than optimistic regarding any positive changes in policy that will energize the economy... Any thoughts on what type of triggers you would be looking for?
With the debt-ceiling deadline inching closer and closer, I'm simply expecting the D.C. elite to kick the can farther down the road, and then demagogue the hell out of each other.

Well in rough terms yes. The whole vote, extend and brussels, bla, bla, allowed the EZ banks to clear most of their holding on a discount so the exposure is reduced to manageable small levels meaning less/or no "friends" for Greece in the next wave. They are starting to do the same with Portugal (although the issue there is very small in relative terms)

And it will be German and French companies benefiting from the privatisation round with them buying up the assets on the cheap. After all of this is said and done, the debt issues in the mainstream media now will be a non issue outside of the problem countries.

Interesting information you guys are providing, thanks, though it's not easy to understand.
But a bit of an off-topic question about this all. What if Greece defaults, what happens with all those loans they got? Do they have to pay them back eventually in the future, or can the countries that invested in that bailout jackpot, forget about it and that it just vanishes?
