busy day today on euro.....and in the market, i will bet my money on less noisy but trending aka. cad/chf or any chf pairs by today and tomorrow. i dont want to get killed again by the big boys.

Thanks for answering. There are a few barriers till 1.4250 but its achievable.

1.4286, 1.4320 and few moving averages.

people, dont expect ecb will increase rate today.... this is very unlikely, euro region has many problem and i dont think trichet will now increase interest rate.

Here's what bugs the he11 out of me:

you have a chart, set, say, to 5m. It has some lines on it that are function of 5min, say a 20 and 50 length ema. Now you zoom to 1M, and those lines are now 20 and 50 1M units, not 100 and 250, which would keep them registering the same information as you had before the zoom. A check box would do that, and a few hours of programmer time would get it done.

Or, you have a line that's too complex in construction to map across time frame, but you want to keep it static as you zoom in. Another check box, which converts that line to a bezier curve or spline or whatever the graphics wonks would like, and repaints it at the same price values as you zoom. Again, piece of cake for a programmer.

And then I'm on the phone with a guy, a long time technical analysis user, and I tell him this, and he says, "why would you want to do that?", and says the reason you can't find it is because only a moron that doesn't understand chart analysis would want that.

Just shoot me. And, now, if someone tells me that, hey, MT4 does all of that natively, I'll even buy the bullets for you to use.

Hi OldQuant, if i understand you correctly, u just want the lines to be the same whether u'r viewing it on a 5m or a 15m chart, then u need to have different MA settings for the lines, example, on 5m a 12hr average price line will be 144 MA and a 24hr average price will be a 288 MA line, then open up a new 15m chart and have 2 MAs but this time their values will be 48 and 96 for 12 and 24hr average price movement respectively. Hope i got those numbers correct, someone correct me if i got it wrong .. thanks !

That's correct. The MA period is number of bars you want to average out. So just change the number to match the length of time in the other chart. Or you could just get a MTF MA to do it for you like PTL suggested.
