I have caught a couple nice trips on the volume surge from the M1s...as long as ya know what yer looking and just waiting on the reversals, it can be one fawk of a confirmation indimicator....

Well, the downtrend only exists up to the 4hr t/f, printing a 2nd LL at today's current lo (although not a fractal swing yet) [today's lo being 61.8% of the 4100-4577 move)...so for me I would use exactly the same peak/valley analysis to determine a trend change, ie would need on this 4hr t/f (the longest t/f that the downtrend exists upon) to see at least a HL and HH for a trend change, but that is not to say that I won't trade counter trend because I do often (swing trade.)

On the Daily chart there is no opa (overall price action) trend...it is in a range.

Probably not... the drops are mostly due to the EU's debt problems right now. Australia is pretty isolated from that. While it may get dragged down with the crowd, it most likely won't be as magnified as the Euro. To get the most bang for your buck, trade currencies closest to the "contagion".

Yeah...going to put in some time with this one. Seen a few setups in supply or demand...volume spike...candle confirmation. Triple indimication of something brewing...is like a free feckin trade!

Potential swing but why? I still didn't see any reasoning behind. Long term for me means sitting on a position for at least 1 year and longer. To make such a decision PA of any given day doesn't mean much, fundies and outlook of a currency however do.

What are these triangles? How are they made? What are its advantages?

I used to think like you but the trend is now my friend-
-When you have a reversal of this size everyone that was long starts to sell to cover their short- then they also go short theoretically- that is why it makes such a dramatic move-

-Then the big players take the market down- they have been taking it up for months so they want to cash in on the short positions they built-

-Then the real money that needs to buy currencies to pay their employees have to make their purchase so the weight of trends in Forex can be really strong-
