I just keep it simple dude:

Daily trend up= look for long trades on H4
Dailiy trend down= look for short trades on H4

Maybe I miss out on a couple of pips like that 300 pip upswing on eurchf last week but it keeps me on the safe side...

I would say time to cash out...Price already hit 1.1977 which is a strong support, price might go north..

Short Euro and remaining that way. That's just the way it is !

If you are trading the H4 and want really check a higher time frame( which I never do), check the weekly, not the daily. daily does not give a good indication for H4.

THE7 - so you only look at 4hr & that's it ?

Yes...only H4...Every time frame has it's own trend...As long as you have a "Good" signal, take it. Higher time frames are "lagging" shorter ones "leading"...Trade what you see "now"..Otherwise if you check higher frames, you will lways miss the start of the moves..

what is a good signal & what is a bad signal ?

I use the tdi but wait for it to be below or above 50 to trigger. Also i triggered a trad on the 4hr only for it to turn on me & then saw on the 1 hr the tdi had turned back through the red - what am i doing wrong

I don't think I'm a very good trader. I was just following TDI cross and 4 hours. My broker is a bit different from Eelfranz's - 4 hour candles start at 0:00, 4:00, 8:00 GMT. For this trade I wanted to wait for the green to go flat, but then changed my mind and took whatever was there.

Wow, 104 pips! Nice trade! I don't use pivots but I think i have to learn them. Thanks for the recommendation to close. I closed at +29. I got in on the second candle, much later than you apparently! That's still a good trade for me!

Dean, hows that traders paralysis of yours going, ever since i read your post i convinced myself that i have it too.

for anyone that missed it, its where you have too many conflicting ideas on what the market is doing in your head and doesnt allow you to trade confidnetly

Anyone else had this or know any way to get rid of it.

This is how I personally determine a Good and Bad signal. Place a weekly pivot indicator on your H4 chart. Now picture 1 is a bad signal..Can you see the red, aqua and green lines, how close they are to each other? 5 opposite signals in 3 days..Price is confused. Now look at Picture 2, which is a good signal..Lots of room for the price to move..
