I have an indicator called Grid Builder2, which will define lines levels spaced out by value set. Even 50, 100 pip etc. 1,4500, 14550, 14600, etc.

The DX is a tricky one to use. Sometimes is helpful because S/R can be found easier than in a noisy chart but still is only a weight basket of currencies against the dollar.

Euro is so heavily weighted in the basket that moves are almost one to one giving the perception that the DX is leading but is not... especially when the moves come from the other currency side (in this case the euro).

In simple words dollar wasn't getting strong yesterday at the close but euro was getting hammered pushing the whole basket of currencies against the dollar with it, in a H4 DX vs euro chart this is imperceptible, but as soon as euro broke 1.444x the DX flew with it in the selloff....

Not bad looking.

My opinion is dump that MACD so you are just looking at price action. My preferred method is momentum so I trade off moving averages and chart patterns. Simplify what you are looking at. I you are watching that 30m Chart you shouldn't be thinking long until the chart tells you.

You need to pick ONE thing that tells you for sure the price is going to go in a certain direction. Then find ONE thing that will confirm that trade for you. Once you've determined what two things you trust are going to be then STICK WITH IT. No waffling, oh maybe I'm wrong crap. Follow the stupid chart until the chart tells you to go the other direction.

You will take drawdowns and some loses, we all do. Object is to in the long run be right. Alot of Money Management involved here as well. You are trading against some pretty sharp individuals. You are going to lose money to start with until you can keep up.

Market has played much in favor of the Euro this year, and once ya come to realize that being rational isn't necessarily a part of being profitable in Forex, ya just throw that shit out and follow the flow...

One thing you need to make note of, is that the down moves have been harder and faster ever since early may. 2-3 bear candles wiping out full weeks worth of bull moves.

Good point. However, looking at my FA chart, all those large bars have something in common ...rating agencies downgrading and debt panic sells...I would rather prefer smaller bear candles without panic to start believing in a proper downtrend .....
