M15 Trading Method (help required!)

Team Viewer I can stop and start instantly so much less bandwidth requirement.

GU short, another short order at 1.6015 SL's at 1.6030.

GU SL hit -67 in total with 2nd average up position.


EJ closed +95 so thats +144pips today ( wish I could do this at $1 per pip ) nearly 30% account growth in 1 day and I spent 20mins tops looking at charts.


Got to be just random spell of good random chances!!

Only possible trade is UC short, if you check the pic the shorting here, setting up another short entry 9835 SL over the MA's ie if the trend turns back up.


But not liking it.



Ohhhhhh selling on GU, very good odds it turn back down.

GU short 1.5984 , SL 6050, 2nd entry 6020 same SL.

USD/CAD short 0.9817, SL 0.9853, 2nd entry 1.9830 same SL.

Also I see there are 2 UC's I clicked on USD/CHF by mistake ( 1/2 asleep here big time ), so also Usdchf short 0.8328 SL 8350, TP 8290


if all SL's get hit them I'm down $18, all todays profits and another $4 but hey!!

GU is my risky play, okay cancelling 2nd order and trailing SL.


And Sleep and hope for more am profits for a nice morning surprise.


Move SL's and close out profitable positions before UK's open, ohhh no am news to upset the trend atleast

Small profits on usdcad and usdchf better than a loss.


Still in gu just doubled up but trend is flat just got chop so take profit next chance and wait for a better setupn/ trend

XAU/USD's turned up, gone long on that we'll see, Zero experience on trading Silver is it or gold ??

GU got stopped, never had a good move down


Silver is doing well, longer term hold on there so we'll see, 2nd position in already

Gotta stare and think a lot about S/R and supply demand kinda stuff, it takes brainpower but its essential.



Heres my High TF tpl. I switch it around between M15 and H4 depending on what i want to look at. Its only for E/U of course, i dont trade anything else as usual. Dunno if you can do antyhing with that but if you can, knock yourself out!

Not so bad be better if the market direction was less changeable when im not around but cant be fixed really

Silver hit Sl

My experience is that there's a time and a place for all time frames. Personally, I never trade the 1 min frame and rarely the 5 min frame. The higher the time frame the more potent the indicators and technical signals can be but everyone has their own style. Profits as well as losses tend to be smaller with the smaller time frames and with that, it's easier to be stopped out. I will trade the 15 minute chart if I see strong signals but mostly stay with the 1hr, 4hr for day trades and daily for swings. The most important thing for me is to understand the underlying causes and fundamentals behind the direction I'm looking to trade in. After that it's just a matter of finding my entry signals.

I'm a M1 guy at heart as your likley aware, I don't like leaving trades to randomness, but you generally end up having to do this anyway so got to accept randomness I guess.

I'll say M15 looks better than M5 or atleast my setup is better although I could just x's my ma's by 3 ofcourse and it would be the same with more detail.

But with time constraints I better get M15 working, work should cool down a lot next week then it'll be loads easier to check it every 30mins or so.

Well account is up nicely, a few very nice profits ( for micro ) and a few hits.


EJ since passing M15 250ema @1.1480 on Monday it's climbed to 1.117 without crossing back under, with 3 good retests / chances to reenter.

EU pretty much the same story, but slower.

Silver turned up then turned back down, sadly I went long on the turn up but hey!!

USDCHF worked well to.

USCAD very slow but accurate downtrend.

GU the only pair not playing ball this week, 4 good days of downtrend, then turned up but stalled and chopped nicely!!


Interesting first week trading M15, I'm sad to say but I think i like it

More pairs which trend added, system optomized slightly should really dump GU as it's too choppy but I might play it's choppy at times.


Lets see how week 2 goes!!

Stuck on all pairs until I get a pull back which looks to not violate there trend then I start scaling in as it approaches my trend EMA and bail on that breaking.

Theory being :-

1. Odds are the trend will hold 70%+ of the time.
2. I can scale in with SL's of 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 to risk 150pips ($15).
3. I can generally expect a 80pip move from the trend line so....
+80 +70 +60 +50 +40 = +300 so 1:2 Risk / Reward basis hopefully more than at times.

Reason for scaling in, you don't know when it'll turn got to be in it to win it so buy near ish and keep buying as it gets nearer SL gets less and upside potential increases.

You need some room other side of the trend line to allow for inaccuracys though, it's not perfect, tighter the SL more odds the SL will hit.

EurJpy Long here, 1 position in 2 more open we'll see if the 250ema M15 bounces like it has done a few times.

My guess would be fail, but can't really predict anything at all, so just got to play the stat's and see how it rolls.


Downside will be -40 -30 -20, upside on EJ could get to 200pips x's 3 contracts so risk to reward is worth it to me.


Can't see anything else that looks acceptable currently!!

I think there is no time frame to talk about, and its generally better to trade without indicators then with them.

So why do you have [what seem to be] moving averages on your chart?

I only use MA's and a Envelope range, EJ's tested M15 250ema 4 times some times vaguely with nice results so far.


Took profit on all trades early, break even on USDTRY ( didn't mean to kill that 1 doh! ) , made 20% less than 5mins screen time so pretty good, I was risking 30% though so not so great longer term.


Ofcourse 30% of micro account is nothing, hoped for better of EJ aswell, not even a test of last high yet.

Here is my method :-


Basically buy above the double red line, shorts below, buy near it though SL under it incase the direction turns and avoid pairs which aren't trending.

Additional, the dotted envelopes are pretty good, try to buy low and sell high using those to.


Basically exactly the same as my M1 plan, with a lot of the randomness removed with bigger SL's and getting in then getting more near the red EMA's rather than trying to be precise on the price, which is great in some market conditions, but most of the time kills you.

GU too choppy, might be trying to turn up, but not risking it.

Uptrend, wait for a pull back.

EU uptrend, possibly topping out or turning to chop.

USDCHF, uptrend wait for a pull back.

USDCAD, downtrend, I got in this at the start, wait for trend to turn up.

USDJPY, nothing.

AUDUSD, tempting on slight pull back, uptrend again.

GJ, dead.

USDSEK, downtrend no where near entry though.

USDTRY, downtrend but might of stalled trade on a turn up Long.
