Hi all

yesterday I posted a set up of U/C signal for the purposes of discussing the entry and if it would have been a good trade or not. Thanks to all who shared the discussing, it's great to get different people's perspectives.

I am posting another on of a recent G/Y signal. Seems to meet a number of conditions, however there appears to be a couple of barriers in the way of trend lines. What do people think?

Maybe re read the actual rules of this method....you are way too late to make an entry here. You would be entering on the 4th candle.

I am also short this pair as well as CHF/JPY and GBP/JPY,
What do you look for to exit your trades ?, I find that a lot of times if you exit when the TDI goes flat you can leave a lot of pips behind, the CJ about two hours ago went flat and I held on and watched PA, glad I did not close the trade as it is now a further 30 pips down

Mate whether you take this as criticism or advice is neither here nor there but.......most people here inclusing myself ask questions to either get another persons perspective or they genuinely dont understand something....and thats fair enough and we are all here to help each other no matter what level we are at..... but COME ON.......is this a serious question??? have you read any of the thread??
I am all for helping anyone..particularly new people to the thread but the majority have at least read most of it and want confirmation of something they dont understand or just advice. Read the thread THEN ask us what you dont understand. This is why people get frustrated.

i'm looking at 1hr chart for aud/usd & gbp/usd
Looks like price hit resistance. I also checked the 4hr charts
for both pairs. correct me if i'm wrong...

I am with you on the gbpjpy but i passed on the chfjpy as it is against the Daily trend in my opinion, if i did trade it i would be looking to close now at 96.30 due to resistance turned support (just my opinion). I have not really discussed my exits here as they are not as layed out on page 1#.
But i no one minds me going away from the original system for a moment:

I exit a good position only when the candle closes the opposite color or if the TDI line turns and actually touches the line again as if it is going to cross the other way. So if short and all candles are red then i only exit when a candle CLOSES blue or TDI reverses and touches red as if to cross against me.
I have found this keeps me in longer and has worked for me.

Hi Dean

I am aware that the rules indicate entering on the first or beginning o second candle. I am aware that the entry was not in the current candle but the second red HA candle.

As we know, not all entries are going to be profitable, so I am learning to distinguish good entries from not so one ones. I find trend lines can sometimes help me to see if the set up has more or less chance of being profitable.

Again....I am only learning and just threw this chart up there for discussion and learning purposes. Hope that I cleared it up.

And thats EXACTLY what we are supposed to be doing.
This method isnt all about the tdi....its about learning to recognise PA...the tdi alerts us to strong PA and we have to do the legwork in deciding if other basics are met...so you are doing exactly that.....making your own judgement on the strength of PA. BigE says...if the tdi kinks or flattens a bit its not necessaruly a sign to get out immediately...its a sign to beware as something is happening....you then go back and re assess your forex basics....you did this and it worked out....well done.
Just becaseu the tdi kinks a little...doesnt mean whoa!!! exit the trade....it means go back and do the saem assessment you did before entering the trade.... many times its ok to hang in there...often if this is the case there will be a gap between the red and green on the tdi...if the tdi actually fully flattens, o rhooks around its clear to get out, but a kink here or there is just a sign to wake up and re assess.

Yep, sorry I was under the impression you were asking if this was a good set up to enter...you didnt mention you entered on the second candle...its a good idea that when you put your charts up, mark a vertical line on the candle you entered and we can all give you our opinions if you want them.
ANd yep the assessing of the S/R I find the most difficult too...so its really a personal thing as to what you will find works for you in regards to the forex basics assessing...if trendlines work for you then use them...its all good. Just be careful you dont make my mistake and overanalyse.

If anyone is wondering why Bez is so succesful....its becasue he has accepted this method for what it is and adapted it to his style. This is crucial...copying him wont automatically make this succesful for you...he has been very generous with his help but as I said...he has made it his own and thats what its all about...great work.
