Hi to everyone. Just wanna say that I'm still around, not trading much but doing final editing on the new book, which is already announced on some national "amazons" and should be out of print some time in the fall of this year. Would like to thank everyone for keeping this thread alive and well. Wish you all the best of luck and hopefully see ya soon.

By the way, the pound is closing in to a very interesting trend line. A lot of money to be made from that point down.

Igrok it's amazing that you appeared right now, because your word is a law.
So, if you currently are interested in trading discussion, may you teach me a very small peace of your method ?
In this particular case should we define the diamond as single- or double-diagonaled, (where right diagonal is a bit shorter than left one). Still a beginner with diamonds.
P/s/ Ready to hear that answer for my question is in new book.

Once you bear that in mind, you will 'see' the real picture.

Once again: Practical use should disregard the aesthetics of it.

At that particular moment when 26/05/2011 price bounced from 114.46 and thereby did not confirmed the right lower border for the third time we could doubt about angle of lower border of right triangle. And draw another line with more steep angle. If we rely upon this then our diamond turns from single- to double-diagonaled. See - triangles are separate in this case.
Plus of course others additional factors that you mentioned about. And... after proper pattern identification we are certainly ready to play on upward brake on the third touch.
Don't get angry. As Igrok i like discussion. You talk about this concrete situation and so take into consideration the distance to day extremes to open position with safe stops, etc. But I am more interested in method of diamond analyse that Igrok rufesed to discover fully. I believe that he counts touches. Also statistically the opposite brakes prevail over brake in the direction of main diagonal. This statistic is a part of that huge method i guess.

At the beginning i also saw diamond.

Take a look on the daily chat. At the moment it looks more like a flag. IMO

2. I never mentioned anything regarding opening a position and the day extremes and stops.

All I said is that you need to draw lines that take into consideration extremes. Not just random lines. One of those lines on your chart doesn't have one of the extremes being a low of a day.

Attaching here a chart for the setup, the idea was go short on swissey on the pullback in the direction of all major pairs. Hope it will make some sense how to get over 50% winning odds to your favour ...

Correction of borders is a part of diamond analyse. As far as i understand it
