Also aiming for 114.25 on E/J. Let's see if that's reached or if it hits my SL at 113.85 first.

Hi there. The explaination is quite different. In the UK spread betting is classified as gambling and as there is no tax on the betting / gambling industry (horse racing etc) there is no tax on spread betting. Hence the word "betting" included after spread

I would say that when you have achieved 12 months live trading consistently compounding and beating your target % per month without deviation, then maybe you are ready. Until then you're going to have to make it in the real world!

I managed to scrape together £8,000 to trade with (after demoing) lost a fair bit to start with now back up to my £8,000, but realistically you're all saying what I really think but don't want to.
I just can't compete with traders with so much more experience and knowledge, I thought I could make £100 a day which I could survive on for a while but truth is I can't even do that consistently.
Looks like it's back to the day job.......

I think you should get a day job and trade on the side (just my 2 cents). I currently put about 20% of my income from my day job into my forex account (to build it up), save 30%, pay off my student debt (10% of my pay) and spend the rest on daily expenses, etc.

I think with a bigger account and good MM you will have less pressure and thus more likely to succeed. Its really hard to trade psychologically if you have this feeling that must make x amount every day to survive....

Trading is a skill. You must develop that skill. Needs time and practice.

You're like aspiring painter wondering if you're ready to earn money by selling your paintings, just because you have been painting for 1 year or something. Maybe 1 year is enough, maybe you need 10 years more. You start selling your stuff only if you're skillful enough. You can be a bad painter, mediocre painter or good painter. It all depends on your skills. And even if you're a good one, be prepared that there will be bad paintings and bad times.

Same with trading.

Ideally set for cross at 1.4222 then 1.4258 ...

As mentioned in TABLE ... best ENTRY has been 1.4129 ...
