edit: the 61.8-fib of the whole drop from 49xx is at 4568ish. I'd rather check on that number soon and then close the week below 4505, but that would be way too easy...

man tell me about it, went sub 550 and all I was thinking about was trickshit said vigilance (his code for a hike next month) and how it was following the same pattern as the nfp price action last week, so went long with size swinging for the fences with an extra wide stop, then spent the rest of the day trading my way out of a world of sh!t...

finished 3 hours later in profit, and to be honest, the fact that i'd calmly and level headedly traded my way out of it, made me feel as good as i do on a major pip win...

on my sig i try to convince myself that consistency WILL come. some times i must admit i doubt that.

just i couple of months ago i was in fire. made 26 consecutive wins TWICE. during that month (it was when i started my cycles method) i was doing 80% winning trades. had a couple of hundred on that ration.

then something must have changed (can't really identify what) and all of a sudden i am losing again, making the same mistakes...

in a word: FUCKING HARD (oh, that's 2 LOL)

still... just a matter of when!

im not sure if i c it correctly on your upper tl "B". but i find when a tl is missed after a attempt to reach it. then in the rejection the center is crossed. i find it many times as a change in that particular trend direction.

there is nothing better than that. everyone can trade in the right direction, but getting out of bad trades without having to throw in the towel is some bad-azz shit.

what will happen once qe2 comes to an end, not only concerning e/u, but the crosses as well?
www.forexlive.com has just posted an interesting train of thought, I will investigate over the weekend to possibly grab some pips off of it.

Last night the ECB did exactly what the EUR bulls had anticipated and signalled a rate hike next month, and of course the EUR fell.
A bigger event which the market has been preparing itself for is the end of QE2 and of course the market has positioned itself accordingly; loading up on CHF and JPY to a lesser extent; offloading AUD long positions and even going short to some extent; and holding onto EUR rather than USD or GBP.
The risk now is that once the QE2 end nears, and the earth is still revolving, we may see a race to exit these trades above. That could mean a serious bump for the CHF bubble because if everyone starts to exit at once, the doorway will be rather narrow.

seems like everyone here is talking 1.4560 to short. don't think it will happen. in my view we can't break 30. and we haven't yet.

i know we should guess or at least we can guess as long as it doesn't interfere with our trading decisions. but i'd say straight down from where we are. i am not saying that up to 1.4560 isn't logical, but as H said, it's just to obvious.

also on the 1.4440 (monthly pivot and daily S1) will be a bump but we are tomorrows low will be a little bellow 1.44.

yes, i know just guess work but based on my cycles and my paralels.

The Australian market is expected to open higher today after Wall Street snapped a losing streak in overnight trade and commodities generally ended higher, too.
At 6.25am AEST on the ASX 24, the June share price index futures contract was 23 points higher at 4577.
What you need to know

 

  1. The SPI was 23 points higher at 4577
  2. The $A was trading at $US1.0619
  3. In the US, the S&P500 rose 9.4pts, or 0.74%, to 1289
  4. In Europe, the FTSE100 added 47.45pts, or 0.82%, to 5856.34
  5. Gold rose $US4 to $US1542.70 an ounce
  6. WTI crude oil added $US1.19 to $US101.93 a barrel

I was just talking to a trader who was saying that there should be a market answer for this last exodus...and after a few mins, I was able to explain that this fall was the answer...

You will see me posting several different charts, on several different pairs...

Watching the sessions, watching the DX, watching EG...

I watch for volumes, supports, direction, and do this on all time frames. Just the charting alone can be a full time gig, and then, try find time to take the trade...

In the end run, I really believe it boils down to watching direction on the immediates and taking what you can...If ya find yourself in a hole, as the saying goes, it is best to stop digging...cut losses, sit out the whips and dogshit and take what you can...

Claw, tooth and nail...1 trade atta time.

Reasonable expectations carry a long fucking way in this game. If all you are looking for is the next 5, you really are only moments away...

Perspective is everything, and this is just mine.

Drop a $100 into an account...and when you have doubled that, it is time to get back into the game on a larger scale.

Take a reasonable leverage, take reasonable trades and rebuild your confidence.

The market consumes a lot of great people and market hopefulls daily...don't be the next one.

and, BTW...as I see you are only a few posts into your membership here at the factory...

Welcome to the board mango...grab a comfy chair, sit a while...take what you can from others, add what you feel is most relevant and make this a place you can hang your hat.
