I concur. There is nice short on EUR/GBP 4hr however.

GBPUSD 1hr long taken a little earlier. I was out so missed the first candle but got in on the second as it looked strong. Stop loss moved to break even at 20 gain. TDI has turned down on the 30m chart and I'm a little bit iffy about it (don't like the way EURUSD is going) so out for 33. I'll keep an eye on it see if I can jump in again if it continues to run.

Nice ! I missed it though I'll keep a eye on er for a brake below the 8900..What a perfect set up. Great angel at the 68 and broke the 4hr TL..

Whats your TP on that after that 350+pip last run? fibo? or the 8850 area?

Hi guys!

I've made some research and decided to share my low-risk type of trading for today with you.I post EUR/USD charts and the first one shows 1H chart with divergence between price action and the TDI indicator. The pair has been already moving in channel for about 2 weeks and I've expected a reversal or a choppy market for today. The second picture shows my views for the correct entries on a 5min chart in agreement with the TDI indicator (below the yellow line) and the break of the retracement line. The price stops almost right at the Support line and then retraces. The second trade is taken based on the same logic. My price objective was the touch of the supporting blue line on the first picture and we see how the market price did exactly that touch. The third picture shows two bars where a trader might consider taking a short position but I wouldn't because there was no move below the previous lower low bottom. I took the first trade but my money management was awfull because of watching mostly the 15min chart and this was somewhat sluggish for my market interpretations. The second one gave me maximum profit. I hope this post doesn't confront with the whole idea of this thread and the 4h trading method. It was my point of view and if BIG E thinks it's not at the right place please consider removing it.

Took also the eur/gbp trade. TP is 8845 and SL 8965.
Make some nice trades today on usd/cad and eur/jpy. Up 2.5% in my account (live) with risk of max 1% per trade (most of the time less that 1%).

Still learning.

Managed 20 pips out of it, could have been more but couldn't watch screen so just set my TP at 20 pips and left.

Hard to find the post right now but the answer is: at the begining of the candle.

Don't be mad on such answers mate, it WAS really mentioned many times across the thread. Somehow you might overlooked that piece of information!

So, you watch the TDI (NOT crossing yet), new candle pops up, TDI crossed? If yes, assess the setup and enter if everything is OK. Middle of candle entry is on your own risk. Big E clearly tells us to enter on the new candle start.

Yes, TDI is in repainting mode and there is a reason: clear signal and it either cross or it doesn't. In refreshing mode the last leg can move instantly (even "decross") *after* new candle is open and you are loosing ground (was it a good slope? direction, angle? they are gone...).

There was a brief discussion about this issue short time ago and we decided to stick to repainting TDI.

also can anyone look at my chart in post 4984 and tell me if thats a bad short? i seem to be struggling a lot with this, but the method is, well simple :-)

I say it's a little over sold and you're coming close to the previous support level but you might get some pips.

In a ranging market, we all will loose money. Point is to cover our losses during the trend and even making a profit off it. I am having a success with a snowball technique where i add positions to my trade once the trend has started. Till the trend is over (ohh yes it will end for sure), lets make some money so we can survive the next range... Trading is and should be treated like a business. If a business can survive the slow times (range in Forex) sunny days are ahead. Long story short..Make money while you can in a trend...You will need it for the losses in the ranging times..

You need to set up your platform correct starting with this template and add HA candles and synergy and you woun't have those white tipps..
