Fast MA 10, Slow MA 135
Exit time 7 (hours) Exit pips 7
TP1 31, TP2 40, SL 142 and TSL 31.

The Exit pips gets hit quite often, which reduces the profitability but
it is a safe exit and I have not had a losing trade since last October.

My settings are TP1) 31 TP2) 36 TP3) 40 Stop loss is 142 trailing stop is 31 Max open hours is 7 min profit hours is 7 Fast sma is 10 Slow sma is 135. My broker is IBFX for now although I am looking for an out of the Country Broker that will take a US citizen.

Thanks for the settings!

I used to run this EA soon after Geoff released it but gave up after a string of losses in the summer of last year

Am now reviving it and am wondering if you are using the 3 order setup?

No I don't use the script. I just change the tps in the EA.

Hi Gerry

I have attached v-17a and it didn't open any trade today. I was using Simple_H1_GBPUSD_EA earlier and it was opening two positions @ 5PM EST every day. What could be wrong? I am using FXDD broker. Could you please attach the screen shots of your settings?

Thanks Glenn5t, it does. Due to the bank holidays I did not even fire up my live account and it did occur to me that it was a bad day to start testing this EA!
I shall install it on my live account using Geoff's settings as mentioned recently, using a very conservative lot size to start with, and see how it goes. (A good set of three wins last night, no trade for me tonight.)

I dunno how safe that really is. It only works this year. I backtested it with horrible results for 2010 (gets the account to 0). Curve fitting at its best ?

I am curious as to why you have "given up on this ea....". I started with Geoff long time ago (at first introduction of this ea in 2010) and did experience huge losses (for me, anyway) after enjoying great success. Now am thinking, with the changes, maybe will try this again. Others in this forum are claiming profitable trades. What do you see wrong with this ea? Thanks for your answer!

The idea is to add for this EA Martingale system by minimum profit without any stop loss , it will add position after 25 pips with lot multiplier.
i promises you it is will work perfect

I have traded this system since the thread begining, original rules but no long sma, as the original rules. More trades, more losses but more wins. Im up with 100%.
