Fridays runup was suspect to me....wonder if they saw this coming and gunned it for a selloff this week? Not sure....

Greece had to admit this weekend that every single austerity imposed on them by the IMF and the EU have been gloriously missed by a mile. Ireland today had to admit that they could not go back to market later this year and would need a second bailout. Both are just playing the EU just right, the EU cannot afford for either of them to default or restructure and Germany will have to continue bailing them out, Spain or Belgium will tip them over the edge and Greece will laugh all the way to the bank when they return to the Drachma.

I really smiled at some of the articles here in the UK broadsheets telling us that the Dollar as reserve currency is doomed, nothing better then telling the citizens all is well in yooroland. A bit tough when 80% of CB reserves are in USD and each and every commodity is priced in dollars, sure, the end is neigh, wasn't the world to end last week????? WTF happened there? The ST actually told us the Renminbi is now the reserve currency of choice, sure, only used as it is tied to the dollar, let it float and then see what happens..... can't wait. It will drop faster then the knickers on a 5 dollar ho and the scientist will have to recalculate gravity based on it hitting the floor.
