I don't see them dropping too far until China get's a fright, and right now, the Kiwi is strong on the back of world milk (solids) prices etc. The high Kiwi isn't going down well here, but I don't see that it will fall far, or the Aussie, until China get's knocked back

Are we really going to believe that China can be the creditor to both the entire failing EU and the USA. Come on, China may buy, but not as big as a 100pip reaction, and portu is only part of the much bigger story.

Totally over-reacting. Great price for shorting right now.

it means don't pack your long johns just yet. we have to climb to break support. when above 4156.1 be careful. with shorts. but below with the next h close. is great r/r and we may test 4057.3 + (much more possible)

I'm going to wait for China to say, they are not going to buy, and watch EUR/USD in horror as it falls to its knees. China will certainly turn this into a political advantage first before committing anything.

In the end, China just rocked the market by saying a few words that meant Nada.

yes, i'm aware of us debt ceiling issue. raising the debt ceiling without taking some pain now in the form of budget cuts + tax increases will only lead to one outcome: when the time comes us gov will not be able to face lenders on it's own terms. it won't be pretty. that said, medium/long term i also believe us is done. the situation in eurozone, however is more uncertain. if by any chance the euro manages to survive the current sovereign debt crisis, the likely outcome will be fiscal union, in which case the euro should strengthen.

anyway, thanks for the reading suggestion. i will look for that book.

Yes ... at first it will go up once more again ...

And yes ... DPR-1 has become near term support now ... as you say ...

But that has not much significance at all ...

More important is the fact of breakout at first ...

That breakout could have been planned pretty precisely ...

But the resulting counter moves are not so easy to be planned again anymore ...

In case it will re-test and then break 1.4180 ...

Then you can forget the downside ...

That's for sure then ... and we will see 1.4238 then with higher likeliness ...

The movement of the EUR Will continue upwards without much hesitation till 4250 region.

In an earlier post there was a mention of a possible turnaround with a huge thrust:

This thrust will find a major resistance at around the black curvature shown. If the black curved line gets broken with a lot of force, we will find SUPPORT at 4330 region. The reason being is that the black curved line has proven to be a formidable support in the past, and a break of that region is not easy.

Depending on the bounce off the black trendline, we will have to gage the situation once again at that level to see whether we are heading more south or not.

Once 4250 is reached, a uptrend will only hold true if the 4200 region is not breached. If the 4200 region is broken by around 40-50 pips, then we might be in for a very strong thrust that will break the red circle and that would certainly put us in the 3700-3800 region.

Its okay, USA can default, All 50 states will then issue their own currency, like the California Pesos, blah blah blah. It will turn to how the EU was 20 years ago.
Deficit is too big with no real money making industry. When Auto collapsed, its just Boeing left. What the hell does the USA produce in masses that can really profit that is made in the USA?

The only thing I see is selling services like Educations, and such, and make a big profit off of that.

Unless the political climate changes, the arguing within the government would go on tediously while the rest of world is catching up fast. Everyone wants to be either a lawyer or doctor or some sort, all the industry that makes money is service based. Engineers and the alike are not Americans but mostly immigrants, its reflected on the number of TAs that are foreign in the "math oriented" college departments nationwide.

it would take something epic to turn oil. but i target 89.37
but there is a big upper mofu that maybe only the Chinese blowing up their economy could probably make it give up.. or the usd flexing.. big time... gold silver can fall.. they and oil are below a big mofu... what helps oil, is its between a big one on the top.. with a much bigger one for support. gold and silver dont have this support and are following a bear path as is oil.

we closed at 4142.7/.9 depending on broker. below 41.8 would of been better. but this below 56.1
