Yep the candles are numbered after the colour change or reversal. See post 949 to confirm. I asked this earlier as there seemd to be confusion about what is candle 1.
Candle 1 is the first candle that has change colour or reversed. CHeck for candle colour change then check tdi for cross.

i shorted eu 12am est and it was looking up for up to 4am est, TDI however is hooking up, if it stays like this this should be closed right?

Just open your charts - judge everything on this "snapshot" of the TDI and make your trade. The TDI flapping about doesn't work for me. I find that it takes me less than 60 secs to decide whether to trade or not, so I don't really need a refresh.

There have been a lot of various TDI indis posted - the only 2 that replicate the indi that Big E uses - that I have seen - are TDI Red Green (the original posted to this thread) and TDI_TradeAnnouncer which provides a pop up alert when a cross occurs but seems to use a lot of processing power to do so and freezes my laptop for a good 10 seconds when it does so!

I agree. I did the same and they have vastly different behaviour on the one minute chart, and I think that is what is causing some of this confusion about trade entries lately. I am back to using the TDI red green BigE first posted.

I agree with you guys. I use the indicator that Big E gave out at the beginning of the Thread, and have tried not to alter any of his rules for entry that he has suggested and I have had no problems making pips just about every day except for the occasional drawdown to keep me alert and humble.

Plamen has very kindly updated his TDI indicator to have an option to turn off the refresh - he explains it better than I can on post #3749

Edit: I added an option to allow repainting (making the last TDI leg "freeze" until the next bar is open). This is to make it equal by behaviour to Big E original TDI Reg Green.

Anyone else having problems with metatrader going up and down. It just may be my broker having problems. I gave them a call and they said it is down and they are working on it. It was going up and down all day yesterday. My broker is Oanda. Never ever had problems with their regular platform, Its just their charting platform sucks. Excuse my language there.

I always had that problem with Oanda on the demo side but I use Oanda for live also and have had no problems with it . using MT4

Yes I have been having the same problems with oanda, it seems at london open and ny open they have no connection, I also have ibfx and they are a lot better, my live account is good never any problems, its not oanda, but the charting package is lousy, so I need to have metatrader.

Anybody took the long eurusd, eurjpy & short usdcad, based on H4 tf? Saw them all crossing with relativ steep tdi's, but trades aren't going that good.

Can anybody point out if this are valid setups? Thanks

All small HA candles. I wouldn't enter.

If you exit a trade because news is coming up, does anyone re-enter on the same signal 30-60 mins after news?

A couple reasons I would not have taken the trades is Time of day no volume ( Big E always pulled the plug on his trades at 9 am est) which is represented by the small trigger candles and Big E said he always looked back 1 TF before entry and all 3 are going in opposite direction. My interpretation of what Big E said , if wrong please correct me Thanks

I dont trade H4 so i dont have a lot of chart time under my belt but to me all those charts look choppy, not much market movement or direction in the last 16 hrs or so. im not convinced that any of those charts are going to move 100 pips or so any time soon.
