Didnt you feel that first candle you entered on was small with quite a big wick at the top and bottom indicating weakness??
Yeah it's just turned on me. Just closed it -7 pips.

yes candles are small i put a sell stop a few pips below pivot line..so far not taken....ps my usdchf trade (did not post chart) was positve for 10 pips..193.5 for the week, not bad for teusday.

Hi Kinonen,

I put this your indi... Synergy APB 4TF indicator on chart.
but the problem is any time i put it on my chart it freezes up the chart.
i have tried different charts but it is same thing.
is there a way to get round this problem.
assistance will be appreciated.

Thanks for that, I'll be a little less restrained from now on... and if anything appropriately manage my lots accordingly and see how it goes.

I'm still amazed at how effective this method is, especially during these turbulent crazy market conditions where fundamentals are all over the place.

Last week I found this thread and this trading strategy appears to be right on target. One of the checks is to check candle strength (15 pips minimum for H1 timeframe, 50 pips minimum for H4). While I can easily obtain grab conventional candle size from the last bar, what I would like is an indicator that would tell me the size of the last Heiken Ashi bar. I've searched and cannot find this. Does anyone have this in an indicator? Much appreciation in advance.

Just watching the USD/CHF short ( on the 4H).
Nice trade developing but if rules strictly adhered to would have exited this trade at just 7 pips profit when green line straightened .........only to see green line repaint down with no trace of previous direction... and to see price continue to drop for further profit!
Good system but this particular exit strategy pulls you out too quickly to make risk reward sensible.

Hi from UK too I took that trade and got out when tdi was flat only made 15 pips. However I'm now looking at the 1hr chart on this pair, could be a nice long setting up.

I think (and I do that way) the judgment of TDI angle we should do at the end of the time period. It's give us opportunity not to be near the screen all the time

Hi, again also from the uk... i picked up the trade this morning and was able to 30 pips out of it... the exit signal wasnt too strong on my feeds at the close of the candle, however the USD was giving away alot to every cross following days of frivolous strength and the CHF was particuarly strong with commodity pairs (aud//nzd) so fundamentals helped reaffirm my position.

does everyone trade on 4 hour charts even during the day???? i thought 4 hours was for over night and 1 hour was for day

You only judge the angle of the TDI at the start of every candle, not inbetween at every tick.

If this happened at the beginning of the candle, yes sometimes it happens that way, more often that not it is the best thing. The TDI will keep get you out of bad trades early more often than not, and often with a little bit of profit.

You can't judge off of one trade that didn't get you a bazzillion pips.

Also, IMO you should be using your own judgement to lock in pips from good trades.

I actually mentioned this a while back on the thread, I too tried to set a minimum pip size for a candle to be considered strong but I think its too hard as each pair and timeframe is different. I now think its best to just eyeball the candle, this maybe of help:
