Dean, please look at the chart, i went long on this one, the stoch and tdi are correct but the ema was still down, is this a good trade

Yes he does for confirmation of direction only, he looks for both to be pointing in the same direction and at a good angle

I re read some of the pass threads and noted that some of the screenshots at he beginning of this thread are self destruct. This is probably the user is unaware that particular software is a trial version. The charts below shows the effects. Probably don't use those that has a watermark on the chart.

This is not helpful to new readers following this forum and will degrade the quality as well.

I an using MWSnap which is free and available at the site or you can download here.

Its not critical for the ema to be trending upwards with the TDI, it just gives a higher probability if it is. So if you have the TDI, the stoch and the ema all pointing the same direction its a higher probability trade.
Its the tdi you take your entry from.
Only enter on candle 1 or 2, not 3.
THe problem I have with this trade is that the tdi seems pretty flat. THe green line on the tdi needs to be pointing to 12 - 2 o clock for a buy trade and 4-6 o clock for a sell. THis is crucial.
Personally I would get out of that trade if you are ahead. The tdi is nearly flat and looks to have been when you entered. Probably shouldnt have gone with that one.
Be careful trading anything today there is a heap of news coming out. Check your forex factory calendar and beware if you have trades on.

us/cad against the daily trend, flat tdi angle and heaps of news coming out tonight, au/us again watch the news and there is a heap of resistance to the left on your PA...its stalled at this price. I dont look at the other one

2scoops, has any rule been devloped after the stoch goes beyond it's range of 20-80 ( red zone )....All i've read is just be ware,but at the same time. It could run another 100 pips...... Or is that like no mans land?

Watch the USDIndex,( oil and gold down too) it had a brake out today after the US unemployment and it's UP at 74.00 .. dollor may have a kick now!.. Cuz up means down and bad= Good...right?

saw this thread yesterday and decided to check it out.. took 4 trades this morning around 9 est. just to test on demo.

All 4 were positive for around 100 pips total.

Cheers I think I've finally found a simple system that is proven. Love all the posts that I have read knowing people are very happy with the results.

Even coming from the j16 forums I can now incorperate everything I learned to a simple and easy platform!!

ie where the price is moving
EMA means Exponential Moving Average

Don't mean to be obnoxious, but for your own benefit, I think it would be a good idea if you had a peak at babypips.com. It is an excellent exercise most people do before starting out in the "real world of trading'. They describe all the terminology in plain English, easy to understand and does not take all that long to complete.

I have learnt on this forum that it is a good idea to check the overall trend by switching up to the daily chart and checking.
