Funny thing was guys this drop occured not really because of trichets speech. The selloff in Euro was more of a catch up to the risk averse sentiments in the markets this week, rather than something that's really triggered by change in expectation on ECB rate path.

I mean if you look at it this is not really just about pronounced EUR weakness. EUR/GBP, EUR/CAD, EUR/AUD, EUR/NZD are all still trading above last week's close.

This was all expected in the markets and really its the debt crises that is making the ECB take a slower pace on rate hiking.

and obviously the selloff in commods is spurring this demand for the buck

IMHO the NFPs tmmrw will give us a much clearer mid-term image on where we are going. With negative reports we may see more demand for JPY and USD

All in all its been a fun and profitable week

S/R does not give guideline for direction, EW does.

Spot on: I use EW mainly for scalping purpose, namely to scalp the C-waves of an ABC.

Regarding DXY:

most EW options/counts etc. do right now not support a new low. It can be, but chances are higher for trend change.

The move from the low in DXY does not look like an ABC correction, more like an incomplete impulse.

Action over the next hours will guide us the way. You can predict with EW, but do not trade prediction. React on movements.

how about the dollar was so oversold and someone wanted a cheap price to buy again in bits to increase profit potential.
