My chart says so....

I only use SonicR system now, NB method on M15 tf will kill your account and on H4 tf you need huge sl's like 150-250 pips.

Entry was made as the London session closed, so by Sonic's recommendation, it is too late in the day to be entering. In terms of tomorrow, yes, it is too early to be entering.

I entered due to the USD release, reasoning that sometimes there will be a delayed action following the immediate reaction. The risk here is that if there is no further move (down), then the asian session tomorrow might move the price back up to prepare for a later move down. And the later move down might be a SonicR short setup with an even higher EP area.

Also, there is the risk that "down" is wrong and that later this gives us a SonicR long setup.

I am going to ride out the rest of the day....see how the price moves. If it goes down, fine. If not, then I might close it at the end of the day.

Edit: Price seems to be probing down again. I have lowered the SL (new chart).

hey guys.. just downloaded the TAH sonic template and am quite impressed with how easy it is to spot trades.. coming from the james16 group using the knife this seems a whole lot easier to get a grasp of.

Price was run high before the USD high impact release today. After the release, the price quickly fell. From just the price chart, you can see that there was a lot of time to build short positions as the price was slowly worked high. It fell rather quickly, by comparison. The noteworthy item is the 3/4 level. On the way down, price paused here, and then was slammed down below it. Afterwards the price was worked back up (test) and has since dropped off again.

The Asian session might bring another upwards run test. Tomorrow, like today, is another Bank Holiday in Japan. So it will be interesting to see just what transpires during the asian session tomorrow. However, what we see here might be the start of some serious downside because PA has been widely swinging above the 3/4 line and only narrowly swinging below it. A drop below recent lowest lows could turn out to be precipitous.

TAH can you pls explain me this SonicR vol indi, Im really confused, the reason is:

1.Turquoise colour represents up to twice the average volume
2.MediumPurple colour represents more than twice the average volume

OK so why the vol on turq bars is higher than on purple bars when I hover mouse over them and check vol through the day?

Thx HankT, the channel is generated by i-Regr_2.mq4 from forex-tsd and I found it worth playing with. It is a regression channel which helps to identify potential trend reversals at the earliest stage (and confirming that the SonicR setups are correct when used for this purpose). Arrows are not part of the code, it is part of my own indy.

As you can see on the pic, the channel has two key areas where the PA reveresal has a higher probability: when PA is above/below the green or yellow line. Beyond that the channel curve seems to predict where the PA tends to go (but it is not true or not true for the longer term since the channel curve will change according to the PA progress and not vice versa).

Rule of thumb: the more timeframe has the PA out of the green/yellow lines the more probable the PA reversal is near the corner. This way you can try to open a position on a given timeframe with lower risks (SL can be much closer to your EP) resulting higher TP target. Note that channel parameters needs to be adjusted for the selected pair (separately for each timeframe). Currently I set/test it on EU and UC only.

I'm willing to post more set-up pics if any of you find it useful / anyone is interested in (along with the right channel settings I found for the EU e.g).

I am interested, I think its very usefull indi, Sunbrella could you post this channel indi and the arrows indi here pls if you dont mind. I love SonicR system as it is but I also see the great benefit from adding channel indi to my chart
