why are you guys feeding this BULL crap. we are seeing 1.18-1.25 in no time. we are going down. sell the dollar index.

oh and btw, gold and silver opening this week. seeing a retracement for another strong run. commodities ftw.

having said that..... you are indeed correct in assuming that Americans import crap from other countries,, and usually it is crap made by others using American forgien aid to that country.
you are however wrong about the need part....we don't 'need" the imported crap we have the ability to make everything we need from our own resources.

So historically, there have been two monthly highs above 1.60. There has never been a daily close above that level, though. Just spike highs.

For some of the newer people to forex...both times were classic examples of stops being run. There almost certainly would have been Stop Losses and Buy Stop orders above 1.60. Maybe 1.6005...1.6010 or so. Those orders would have been tripped...and you could have been left holding an ugly loser, the first time...and a potentially catastrophic loser the second time if you thought you were smarter than the market...and were too stubborn to close. Your broker would have done that for you...Margin Call.

Oanda people perhaps open & running , not consider the price there though till all open . seeing live quotes as eu 1.4812/14 and another site 1.4813/20 ,if real so over 4809 then should retrace more towards 4819 breaks (or back) to 4821,28,38,41 to even 56 but likely retest 4804 or 4800 before breaks 4856 & if h4 and h1 close at it as expected then next may up again towards break 4874 close candle those tf & bear over & out , first confirmation though breaks 4856 enough for it .

lets see how reacts at this cretical situation .

ok , thanks for the information & hope not holiday for forex if not started somewhere already & brokers .

it can easily do without it to go any level I think & in such situation they will be not blindfolded , may take emmergency session to open all related.
same apply for all bank holidays also kenfen .

I will not wait perhaps in insomnia today or more 2 hr to see if open here rather see in the next morning though .
