haven't really looked into rotation factor yet. I think there were a few post on here about it. Anyone can point me to some good resources?

Question, as I am not so versed in vsa as most others here, but from my limited knowledge of vsa, that candle formation spells weakness. I took it to be. Is there a vsa explaination as to why it was not? That formation vsa or not, I took that as a very strong indication of weakness. Im not sure why a vsa'er would not see that as a valid entry.

not sure what it is called, but yes, high volume, no progress = weakness

yeah, reloaded and saw it, updated my previous post. what was confusing IMO on that one was the volume was increasing as price moved up to there, which could have been read as strength

Quietly follwing along since I mainly just use POC's and VAH and VAL not hard core MP stuff... here to learn without much to contribute most times. Spend most time still over at Malc's VSA thread but not as much as I used to as it is kind of dying off ATM.

Thank you! I cant identify the names but after time you learn to reconize the pattern. My vsa knowedge is more visual thing, than anthing else. Again Thanx!

I now remember, its also the classic "Hanging Man" in candlestick formations, from one of my very first TA books!

The problem with that bar is this... look at the lower wick and I can't quite tell if it was a downbar or upbar but regardless we went down and the closed on the high on high volume... Based on this it could either a SOS as all sell orders were hammered with buyers or it could be sellers trying to absorb demand. If one had looked at it as a SOS and then waited for the high to be taken out they would have been safe as it never was. If one thought it was a SOW and waited for the low then they would have gotten in on the next bar.

High volume and lack of spread is considered a squat bar and these can be traded if they appear in the right place but they are not a true VSA set-up.

In this case if we went down first and then as the volume increased we tried to go up and it closed as an upbar it could be looked at as a squat bar with effot to rise. That is why squat bars are much clearer if it is a straight up or down bar closing on it's high or low with very narrow spread and no long tails like we see here.

Thank you! I appreciate the explanation. I have a better understanding. Because Im not so versed, and slow with my vsa analysis, by the time I try to figure it all out (remembering all the vsa rules) I usually miss my entries. By the time I decide what to do, oppertunity has left me.

I was looking at the total volume current, and then ny session IB vol., I wonder what that can tell us. The difference. current vol. has been the same since the NY open (its increasing as I type) Im wondering that the increase is to the down side? Wouldnt asia & london have their vol included, which would make the volume count higher, if they were still in the game? Im just thinking outloud, trying to find good ways to use Tgwhbb's indi. Its just funny that volume has remained the same until now as we test the ny ibl.

we are picking up vol as we are attempting to leave the IB low. I find this interesting that IB vol. has remained the same this far into the session. also london just closed. Hmmmmmm..........
