foreing capital is good to risk, my own i would be more careful.

trading price action is always the best way to go, but i want to anticipate the market so in therefore im gambling and if i lose 100 pips its fine with me, wouldnt cut much into my profit, besides, i would probably end up rescuing and not letting the market take it from me anyway.

She still misbehaved a little bit here and there, she undershot my 50 to touch the DP, so I coverd that manually and she overshot the earlier 76 by a bit, and this last one she missed 76 by 7 pips with no retest. Knowing when it is slightly out of kilter just gives you a few more pips in profit and gets you a better price on the bounce.


It really is that easy on range days, I posted the 3 numbers here early, 50,62,76 and have played of them all day long. The bad part about days like today is that you can't scale into a runner as there never is one. The good bits are that stops can be ignored as the range takes care of that.

On the other hand that certainly hits any SLs, but might recover seconds later. With the new safety systems in place (see Flash crisis) that won't happen so soon either. I understand his point, but I will always put safety stops nevertheless, since I'm also having overnight trades where I cannot monitor it.

You got it, I am not going to build in an event that may happen once every 5 years only to have that safety valve get hit unnecessary many times over when it is not needed.

And one that dow spike last year, go back over my posts from that time, I actually made a killing.

At the moment I entered long for the up side of the range it started to break down, but I was prepared since that happens more often than not with me, ranges just don't respect me, how do you know when this happens in advance? .

it was a 1000 pip candle in a flash on the DOW think it was july ish last year spectacular stuff. It's happened a lot on the dow. Mega spikes. not so much these days.

Am flat now and done for the day, it has been really good on the thread with loads sharing brilliant stuff here today.

None of the usual characters showed up and we got on with trading instead. I haven't called anyone a muppet here directly today, that must have been a first.

The force should be with you. might flash it down to 14450 ish I reckon then ram it back up nice new higher high
