I'm new to this way of trading, so perhaps others will have better ideas than I do. First thing that strikes me is that the 34EMAs are angled solidly down. Then price is below the 89, and it is also down. Under any circumstances, this is a countertrend trade, and needs extra caution.

Perhaps worse, is that there isn't a solid wave pattern to support a long. I wouldn't count the spike down to a new low a couple of hours back as establishing a wave low. Thus, to my way of thinking, there is only a low here, and in your chart it is reaching a first high. But there is no higher low.

Yes, I realized that the trend is down, therefore the trade is counter trend, I am going to keep a close eye and trial it closely should it go on my direction.

What I hadn't considered is that the wave pattern may not be solid and if we don't count the spike down I would agree that there is no higher low.

Thanks for the reply, I was counting the spike that bounced from DS2 as a LL, I guess that perhaps it shouldn't.

I thought a lot about such events and how to manage those trades.
In fact you would close too many trade too early if you always close after 20pips or sth. In average the SonicR trades run for 40-60 pips.

Nevertheless I had some +30pips on UCHF long which disappeared in the dust

question to Masters.

I believe now we will be able to see many different setups due to recent news. PA goes wild on both sides of Dragon. How long you would recommend to take no action and to wait until PA will find its way? I believe now we had London/NY reaction. but most probably there will be reaction of Asian markets as well. So should we wait until next London session or no?

no. there was some news: - Greece denied restructuring plan, but more important was news from S&P - they affirmed rating outlook on US to negative.
