i like this move... but i have to admit, im confused by it... learn not to be confused and just take the money

edit: what i mean is, its lunch time, no known catalyst for this move...

Yesterday ... we had a daily closing/clôture at about aprox. 1.4441 area ... and it looks as if we would not close below that ...

Although from daily chart candles ... since March 28th ... we do have again a series of rising daily candles ...

Eine baldige leichte Korrektur wäre also lediglich als gesund einzustufen ... 1.4520 ist still capped until now ...

Die blaue Trendlinie rührt von den Umkehr-Tops bei ca. 1.6040 im Jahr 2008 und ca. 1.5140 im Jahr 2009 her ...

Now running at aprox. 1.4250 ... let's see what Friday will give us ...

i am checking the charts every couple of hours and every time i check we are more than 100 pips in different place
pure volatile range i hate ranges, just a lot of be trades nothing more
besides ny boys will not let it go down until target reached

Do you think we have a monthly top in place at 1.4524.... since I see some indicators showing that we have a top in place.... just wanted a second opinion....

Way too early to call in my book. I am an intraday trader and don't really care where we are next week, let alone next month. I trade what I see in my charts, thinking about where the top is or where we are going to be in June will just give me a bias, having a bias is the worst thing you can do as a daytrader.

I could not give a toss if half of the EU bankrupts itself tomorrow or if the US increases the debt ceiling or starts QE3, if any of that happens, I will just trade the resultant PA.

I stopped position trading before Christmas purely due to intraday volatility, there is loads more money to be made trading the intraday moves then there will ever be position trading right now. Once the bigger picture calms down and we get back to normal coniditions worldwide will I start position trading again.

So to answer your question, don't know, don't care and don't even want to think about it.

Clogs knows how to trade. He makes money in every market. The majority of his advice is on the money. This isn't a personality thread. This dude can trade. PERIOD. His critical overtones should be taken as levity and smart traders ignore the biting remarks and focus on the content.

Yup, i've been having a hell of a time getting swing trades going... Moves are made just to have the next day completely erase them back out.

Right now I only aim for one-two additional candles beyond my entry. Even still, most of them are around 100-200 pips.

Not really too impressive when you are talking about 3-4 days.

Cool... Its not my bias about the top, just that I had couple of strong indicators indicating that the top has formed... so same here... I dont care as well, but sometimes helps to know once a top formation is in place so that the trades can be planned accordingly....

Knowing when to switch your trading style is the hardest thing to figure out for most traders. Right now postition trading does not pay, a halfway decent trader should be able to pull 100 pips a day out of eu alone, add a few correlated markets and you are on to a winner. Add some fundy/news trades when appropriate and you can beat any position trader right now.

Once the global moneyflows stabilise I will start position trading again.

I just follow the money.

Just thinking about that top gives you a subconscious bias that causes you to miss the obvious trades and setups.

Clear your mind and just follow price, who cares where it takes you.

Ours is not to wonder why, ours is just to do or die.
