regardless, Greenhaze can correct me if im wrong.. i know he felt animosity from your replies, because u became personal with your reply/-ies to him...

Malarky, I have had the same questions as you and have been manually back testing daily bars on about 12 pairs so far and have observed a couple of things that might help initially manage trades:

1) Most of the time on the standard PA's (PB's, BEU/OB's, DBLH/LC's) the Break Out bar is the very next bar after the PA set-up.

2) If a good PA set-up has been chosen price almost never retraces the full PA and stops you out on the same bar as the BO bar.

3) 90% of the time, if price is going to move any decent distance, it does not retrace back...

Thanks a lot for your reply, this makes good sense to me. I will have a look at doing some backtesting and trying this out.
The more I read the more I am coming to understand that a bunch of different people can take the same trade and their results can be hugely different depending on their trade management plan.

Those who read me for some time know, that I may ask uncomfortable questions. And I do. And I will do. Because those questions show who that guy really is (just like in the case with this superstar trader XXX)...

Also who follow my posts (if there are any) know I never talk in a manner as this guy replied. And even after this guy promised to break all my legs and what else (for me questioning his high authority with a simple statement). I was still behaving myself and closed the converstation with saying " All is understood with you". Because I understood there is nothing I can learn or talk about with a person like this

So, in conclusion, if from YOUR point of view that conversation was actually ME attacking this guy, I am really just SUPRISED, lol. I was painfully thinking who could that be maybe Pinbar, as we are many times have conversations and discussion..... But if you refer me attacking THAT guy, lol, this is really strange SC, maybe you missed this post or I don't know.

My mind is no good for trading today over this.

We've all been respectfully helping each other out here for so long that a misunderstanding like this can't be strong enough to cause any rift between us.

Hey guys,

I am reading through this huuuge thread a lot and try to find any valuable information I can.
Never seen such a thread in a forum before.

One question came up. How do you handle the Risk Reward Ratio with the Pinbar method.
Often the RRR is 1:1 or worse (if you put the SL outside the Pinbar). I think I remember reading/hearing that the winratio is beyond 50% which allows a RRR of 1:1.

How do you guys play it? ( I am just starting out with the simple instructions for the pinbar method)

but i wont be surprised if we go revisit 0.8500 area again. if that happens, that is my personal & near-term "line in the sand" (bull vs bear line).

Good call fella

I am far too new here to really consider myself a part of the group but I really did just want to say how helpful everyones posts/chart/trade info are to us new guys.

There is so much we can learn from all your experiences and opinions and I for one take great hope from the fact that everyone seems genuinely interested in everyone elses success in this.

It is fantastic to hear and learn from the seasoned seniors in here but also really helpful to see how people a little earlier on in their trading careers are learning and progressing. (It gives us newbies hope and realisation that some of these folks were where I am now not so far back).

So I for one would be really dissapointed if any of you guys stepped back on your postings. Your chart postings/discussions make all the research/backtesting/demoing worthwhile because we have your individual takes on valid or non valid trades and ideas and can judge how our own calls worked out and where we went wrong/missed things etc.

Just a newbies perspective but imho the fact that so many people at so many different stages are helping each other and making this work is the drive that someone new like me needs.

So new or not I am joining in with a group
