Draw down, fake outs, and of course profit.

And of course, need room for the big swings. I ended up getting stoped at +5 this morning on a euro daily short swing, which was up around 60 pips at one point. Still nothing to write home about, but it's the concept that is frustrating. I guess they all can't be runners
Yeah I like the daily/weekly chart because I will get in at highs and lows with very nice tight stops and end up with anywhere from 2-10:1 Risk:Reward It is frustrating though when I make a mistake and get stopped out even if it is at break even. The nice thing is, there are not nearly as many fake outs on the higher TF and trading the way I do the trades nearly ALWAYS give the opportunity to move stops to break even, and when they do not give the opportunity I am hardly losing anything compared to the gains. I like to think of it as:"When I am right I am really right, and when I am wrong I am slightly wrong."

-On a side note....how do all of you fancy posters make more than one quote per post? I'd love to do that so I don't clutter the thread!

I'm fine with that, not comfortable with gold breaking to record high, inverse correlation against usd and fomc within the hour, if in doubt get out, can always look for another entry after fomc minutes...

i think it's important to learn to be comfortable leaving money on the table...

also my reason for being in the trade, ie. London close counter trend isn't materialising as I'd like to see, whoops ticking down as I type, but then that's trading...

According to the fomc minutes ,they are divided but seem to feel no need to raise rates or end qe2.
so that leaves us with eur expectation of 1% increase this year starting thursday at .25% =bull eur confirmation thursday
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

there's no surprise or anything novel. the market didn't 'price in' the end of QE2 but it sure as hell priced in a hike. if the eu was on solid footing then i'm a buyer. however, to me... these are just sell opportunities until the real shit hits the fan. like... where's the bailout money coming from. Germany. don't think so. this last move up was on thin ass volume.

Looking 1D chart we are in highest price since 5-11-2010 (resistance), a doji was formed so propably we will have a reversal....Waiting for any news that will help for the reversal....

Here is the MN chart I posted a while back...we already got the close and high below the TL (March) as I thought. We are currently piercing the TL and I will be looking for a high at the 50 Level (may not be this month) And then I expect a retrace to the TL on the opposite side.
