nope it is impossible unless u are able to alone trade many many multiple asset classes, i work in a institution firm b4, and i've only seen 5-10 outstanding accounts clocking few hundred percent returns, some infact hitting few thousand percent. and all of the other accounts? all lose money... it's sad
with a few here and there making some small gains, which is why i say its hard.

so what happens to those gd 5-10 accounts. due to the size they enter, conditions are diff, and their timeframe end up turning longer and longer. so mathematically, they cannot sustain that kind of returns. which is y eventually, they move to a basket or portfolio of asset.

and yes, 1 of the guy hit 800m in 4 years from 300,000 investment before i left. aint sure if he hit the $b dollar mark yet. but from trading 1 asset class, he ended up trading almost 10 asset.

Ditto from me my man. Red I follow Magix's system and use it in my trades, but I have also been reading your thread and learning. Hate to see you go, even the weekends are entertaining with you around, no market open but the things you will say are highly interesting.

My suggestion is to use the old math system that they developed for the iphone. Create questions that you can't answer if your a little tipsy. Then don't log in.

All the world is Pareto distributed, IMO.

Venture funds do 20 deals. 19 wipe out, and one becomes Facebook or Amazon.

The Great Winfield gives 50K to each of 10 traders, 9 wipe out, and one makes a million bucks.

Trend trading has a Pareto tail to it, as well. 20 percent of the trades make relatively big money, 80 percent of them chew little holes in your pocket when it ranges.

What this scalper I'm running tonight is about is to try to make those little holes smaller. And the algorithm that's running has logic largely gleaned from things I've learned on FF. But, for sure, that tail is not going to go away completely.

I don't doubt that any more than I doubted Arthur Ashe (the tennis player) when he said that taking a serve, he concentrated on watching the seams of the ball. Of course, the ball was coming at him at 100 mph, spinning 1000 rpm. Zen states are real.

Doubt it. More likely a "let it ride" string of GOOG at IPO, levered gold at 300 * ... Doable? Likely so. Reproducible by moi? Not so much.

Edit: * By way of illustration only, of course

Edit 2: Just did a back of envelope on those two along. At 20:1, two such (80 to 700, following by 300 to 1300) back to back (these two overlapped of course) alone would do it.

After 15 CM of Snow, or 6 inches for My American friends, fell on Saturday, For the greater good of my fellow city folk, I had attempted to sacrifice a hand to the snowblower gods...

My offering was immediately rejected, snapping 3 digits in 4 places, removing skin and fingernails as a sign of their contempt...

Who knew they were looking for a virgin?
