W pattern formed and higher time frame a truncation 193 210 may be i will look for a dip to long there if any

The daily high range can be already done rather quickly today.

Leaving price below major daily R 1.422x/1.420x is a very reasonable option before NFP and monthly close as it happens most of the time before NFP.

Leaving price sitting very close to next resistance to let both TA doors open before the announcement but more important than that is the daily/weekly/monthly close for the only and key euro side factor for the next few months next week with the ECB conference.

Uptrend is intact, but consolidation on last top is still in play...

im thinking on possible retest back to 4100 with NY session.. and then will see from there

again, even looks flag is broken.. Im not LONG.. not here .. not NOW..

Smart decision.

Agree not point in buying at these levels. 1.410x possible but not really convincing for todays close as it can leave price too far away from resistance. The other extreme is 1.405x but that require some heavy action later (which is good for intraday trading) but looks a bit too far given yesterday action.

In my case, day is pointing to trade something else intraday...

The levels of interest for me now :

1.4150 to hold as support.and we broke over night .
1.4200 to break
1.4220 a top to break
1.4250 a further top
Finally november top 4280
Nothing has changed fundamentally
US indices trade up last couple days
oil still elevated at $105
Talk on eur interest rates seems to have moved to how much rather than if the rates will go up.
I realise US are gonna start discussing rates and qe,but we expect the first part of a potential longer term 1% rate hike in eur next week .possibly enough for near term bull.
Unless nfp has major surprise dont expect much impact above the initial 20 minutes up and down.
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

More rubbish lines on H4 which show why 4250 and 4030 are important levels as the month ends and NFP tomorrow

Above 4250 bull continues, below 4030 sell


On GU above 6250 buy below 5950 sell

I have felt since we broke up through 1.4000 that we will test 1.4280.
If I could move the market like some big dog ,The longer we stay in this region the more stops will get placed "SAFELY" above 1.4280 by large and small bears .I would at least try to trigger them would you?

Even if we are gonna head south ,Being the evil person i am I'd spike the stops first then drop like a stone .

Forming a range below 4280 before nfp and triggering stops on the release would be my conspiracy theory lol.

Gonna keep this theory in mind till price action convinces me otherwise .

Staying in the 4250 too 4180 region would be about right .

Breaking 4150 not good for the plan.

I agree with your previous levels.

The only one I don't share is the 1.428x. For me a break on daily R 1.425x opens 1.44xx and above. The tick to 1.428x on Nov 2010 was barely traded and is made of thin air. You can clearly see on the daily but if you zoom in to intraday you can see that it was a very quick intrady bull trap (run of stops or whatever you want to call it).

In any case, I also have all alarms on the 1.415x with the next negative FA.... stress test in Irish banks maybe? or better NFP? we'll see

I am currently long but it just seems to easy... There have to be a trap, it always is

Agreed sisse,

I understand when 1.4280 level was created it was mostly consuming stops .
1.4280 i feel is now were there will now be stops placed above .
And being a major top the bigger stops, even if no one buys there. the stops could be powerful enough to break at least 4300.
They only have to trigger 4250 stops and sit back it should be enough to start a snowball effect. then take profit when the move runs out of steam.

Not sure how much you need to move a pip ,but I read this pair is the easiest to move .
A couple hedge funds maybe even one large one could play that game on this pair.
Big size ,50 pips =quick profit, just triggering stops .
