How do I set the SL & TP before submitting the order for the instant SELL/BUY ?
Ignored
Simply double click the SL and TP lines that appear on the chart and move them at desired levels.
Afterwards if you like you can modify your orders in the same manner, just double click the lines and move them.

I see, there is no manual input eg. SL 20 TP 40 etc.

Only drag the lines to set them. OK.

Traded #CLJ1 (Oil futures) successfully using this tool today, however could not submit order for #FFIH1 (ftse futures) got errors, would not accept the order, SL TP showing 0 for both. Using FxPro.

Any ideas why ftse orders did not go through ?

Hi, I tried this great script and it works with MBT MT4 but nothing with OANDA MT4. Is there something different between both platform? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for help

@noeasyforex
I've tested with OANDA and it works fine at my end.

@Shabs19
Have you waited enough for new tick so the order gets executed?

Thank you, Diki. The only difference I see is that MBT starts in 0.1 lots (miniaccount?) and OANDA starts in 0.01 lots (microaccount?). Another thing is that MBT is an ECN broker and OANDA isn't.

Thanks again

The order for FFIH1 just gets rejected, submit error. It works with #CLJ1 (Oil), this alos futures contract.
I wonder if it is something to do with no tbeing able to set SL & TP on FFIH1 ?

The previous prder window had the SL TP on the order window.

Just a great tool, Sangmane and kostas1!

May I be so bold as to ask if you and other members see the value, and consider adding a *2nd* TP level, so that when the *first* TP is hit, the script (or is it the .dll?) will move the Stop to B.E. (Break Even...or even + 1 pip, and so now *that* profit is now secure)...and then we let the trade run, and if it makes it to TP #2, well good deal!, and if not, no loss...but if it hits TP #2, the script moves the Stop to the new B.E. and *then*...on a good day (some have called it a "Gravy Train" trade) it can keep running (or not) and all profit is secure (nothing lost in doing it this way) and a chance for a 2nd TP gain, and even a "gravy train run" when the market is in a mood to give it up!

This obviously would require lot-size in an increment divisible by 3 (like 0.03 or *any* increment divisible by 3) to allow the 1st (1/3) TP, and 2nd (1/3) TP, and 1/3 left for the gravy train, when the market is ready to give it to us.

So how to do that by Risk (perhaps the nearest risk that factors as divisible by 3...or step down the the next lowest divisible by 3 lot-size). And obviously we can do it manually by the same thought as to our tolerance / M.M. as divisible by 3.

And can you program the script to scale out like this? What do you think? ((Easy for me to say & ask! It is likely quite a challenge...or not?))

Ron

Ron,
I wouldn't add anything more to this great tool. When I initially requested such a tool, I was thinking simplicity and small window size, which is what Mr. Magic Programmer (i.e. Sangmane) did. Simplicity is the main advantage here.
To do what you describe, I could suggest one of the many trade manager tools in FF (e.g. THV CAveManager).

Thanks, Kostas, I knew *of* THV CaveManager, but not it's possibilities. I will look under its hood.

Ron

Shabs, I have added manual lot sizes but I don't have time for testing it. If you or anyone are willing to do some testing on this program, drop me pm. Once the program confirmed to work as expected, I'll post it in this thread.

Hi you great Sangmane

I need your help, last July 2010 you had posted an EA named Dutch Trader (it was a simple EA just buy & sell on every opening bar,if bar is up (Buy) if bar is down (sell). Can you just add TP & SL function in that EA? I know you are busy but I will really really appreciate your help Sangmane.
Thanks & Regards

Zaib Aziz

I had the same problem, I think because people with Windows 7 need to put library (DLLs) in the main metatrader folder and not the appdata version of metatrader data.

So, put the dll in \\program files\\metatrader\\experts\\libraries\\ folder

instead of in the

\\Users\\YOURUSERNAME\\AppData\\Local\\VirtualStore\\Program Files\\MetaTrader\\experts\\libraries\\ folder.

When I did this, it worked right away. Hope this helps.

BTW, Sangmane, this little script is excellent! I have been writing EAs and scripts for several years now, and never thought of doing it this way. Keep it up!

THANK YOU!

Hi Kos,

Please double check that you place EasyOrder.dll file in experts/libraries folder.
