Most beginners are looking for 100% setups. It is to stressful for me. (psycho thing)

PA has gone stagnant on various USD pairs. Last USD news was about 30 minutes ago, and the next is High Impact in about an hour. Between them, price movement looks to be just consolidation. And UChf might experience a pullback into the EP zone, as part of this consolidation, before possibly more upside following the next news. Speculative.

Price is in EP zone. Volume is increasing as price drops. Buying.

Edit: Look at this! On average volume or less, the PPMs are kicking the price way down! And once down, you can see the higher volume.......buying.

I'm learning to. more loss than win so far. but as far as I know there is nothing to do with mentioned indicators at higher TF's. Higher TF are just for trend direction confirmation, to know are you going for long (in terms of time) trade to trend direction, or are you going (or not) for short (in terms of time) counter trend trade. let the Masters correct me if I'm wrong.

btw, dont concentrate on indicators to much. learn price action.

how long do you guys usually stay in the trade for? I kinda wait to see if it breaks a resistance or support and see if it bounces back or keeps moving.

Welcome, Dyekid217. I will try to answer some of your questions.

The Sonic R System is primarily traded on the M15 chart, which offers the best compromise between frequency of tradeable setups and extent of runs off of the setups. You can trade it on the M5 chart, which might increase the frequency of setups, but also diminishes the extent of the runs off of the setups. Or, you could trade it on the H1 chart, in which case setups would be far less frequent, but the average extent of their runs would be more. I think you get the idea, now.

The length of time to stay in a trade cannot be simply defined because we can not know what the market will do with PA from moment to moment. It is, in largest part, dependent upon your exercise of money management. On the one hand, a trader might look for as many pips as they can get, but just off the first price move out of the setup. On the other hand, they might let the trade run, even thru some pullbacks, possibly for days. My own experience so far, and that is with numerous bad entries, trades closed too soon and trades left running too long, is that they average about 60 pips overall. Trades opened and closed during the asian session (not recommended by Sonic for trading) tend to be between 15-45 pips. Trades during the recommended London session tend to be 50-80 pips with some going over 100 pips. The Sonic R System relies on historic SR to judge where price might go to. How many such levels of SR you expect a trade to progress thru might also be judged on the angle of the M15 Dragon and Trend and also on what the PA looks like on higher TFs (H4/Daily/Weekly). Daily pivots are commonly used to confirm intra-day SR. The RgH/RgL lines, included in the SonicR Chart Panel, are provided as a visual perspective on what SR levels might be reasonable to expect during the current day based on average trading range.

It might be the Daily pivots that you are referring to in your question about a support and resistance indicator, because no SonicR S&R indicator has ever been released. I am working on one, however. And since it is in-work and on some of my charts (dotted lines), you might also be referring to that. I have no idea at this time when it might become available.

I am working towards an April release of the new, simplified template and indicators shown in my recent posts, and below. Possibly the SonicR S&R Indicator will be part of that release.

UCad:

Speaking of this one, it is a SonicR long setup here in the asian session. We have the WAVE. The Dragon is angled up (so is the Trend, though not necessary). PA is above the Trend. And there was increased volume on the several bars up off from the last low that took PA into the EP zone.

A run up from here (around central pivot) to Daily R1 is about 25 pips, and maybe something that could be managed by asian session trading.

I am already in this long from 1st of week, but the attached picture shows the possible asian session long trade.

As with UCad, this too is an asian session SonicR long setup, with increased volume coming up off the previous lows. Current price to Daily R1 exceeds 25 pips.

UCad (above post) and UChf are shown as examples of smaller SonicR trade possibilities during the asian session. But realize that the coming of the european traders, and the London session, can result in pullbacks. Therefore, any asian session gains should be taken early.

I'm not using anything what is not included in templates available at first message of this thread. you can see there link to TAH templates.

All other lines I draw looking to chart - scrolling through history and putink horizontal lines there was some major resistances/supports or rebounds. I'm not frequent user of fibo, but sometimes puting it between recent extreme low/high and it nicely "coincidece" with resistance/support I draw or Sonic template. that just confirmation that you can find there stronger stoping acction or even rebound.

but this time EU stoped at 1.4070, which I missed and not marked - there was resistance here few days ago, and an rebound more time ago.
