My short answer would be...

1. Spread affects you less while trading FX if you have a longer pip look...

2. Risk & Reward can be pretty much the same, but make sure the morning gap is not affecting you in stock trading... meaning close the position if there is a possibility for opening lower than your potential wanted risk level... Hard to calculate as we had Tokyo disaster opening down 11%... Same as in september 2008... Horrible for me and other traders...

3. volatility is way better in FX, and that can go both ways... better=higher..

4. week-end gap, with oanda I dont really feel this, but where I run my two EAs w. FXpro its not so funny.... so I try to close it before the week-end starts...

5. discretionary vs mechanical trading, I found that discretionary is a better way for me because nothing lasts for a prolonged time, if you use EAs you have to put it "on an off" when you have a good setup.. so not making run alone completely...

6. time spent watching the market, in forex this can break you, in stock trading you dont really have a choice, it closes. However as it is more expensive trading stocks you put in a longer term trading style with smaller position and wait for a longer time and hence, less money to your broker.

7. expectations of return is more in forex and is probably why so many traders is loosing money, why they actually loose is discussible. Lack of education is probably number 1.

8. news has a great impact on Fx and within seconds, stocks are more affected by the same news throughout the day...

9. general trend seems to be discussable and pretty much similar... longer term..

It all depends on whether or not 4145 gets taken out. If it does get taken out then I'll short. But until then, there is no reason to short anymore. Right now the risk reward for longing is very good.

i reckon this down trend will end soon as the hamonic butterfly will end at 38.2 as shown in the pic.

I am not saying that it won't go up, I just don't think that it is very 'strong', look at 11/04/2010, I don't think that will give this week ... maybe a test at most ...

well its no point for me to anticipate up to that level. I just ride with the flow. As I said, the risk reward ratio is very good to long hence that is the reaosn I got into the trade. If I am wrong at most I lost 0.5%. If I'm right, I can make 3%. That is why I took the trade.

EU opened below DPP suggesting some bearish corrections while in uptrend.
During the time Im writing this EU is struggling to close above weekly resistance now acting as a support 1.4176.

There are 2 options for longs at the moment. First is to buy around 4170 with stops around 4136 and 2nd is long around 4145 with stops around 4120 whichever comes first.

4193 needs to break in order for EU to test 4220 a good TP for mentioned longs
