Metastock isn't free. MT4 is an anamoly in the client/broker software world; both an effect of, and a cause of, the ease of entry into the forex market making world (if you don't have to spend a million bucks to build client interface, your IT can go to your internal accounting and position management software; MetaTrader was an absolutely brilliant business model).

There are nowhere near as many futures brokers. You can look at optionsXpress; I have an account, but am not otherwise a stakeholder. In general, look at ones who own seats....

Agreed...When I came over from the Stock Market and seen the charting I could do through Meta4 VS the best of what I could find at the time for stocks, I almost shit bricks...

I couldn't believe the tools that were available for trading and the updates with no delays on even demo accounts, that whole 15m lag in the markets sucked unless ya traded off L2 or dailies or had a broker with something that resembled a chart...at the time, not a lot available for Canadians...

Now, a look at stocks, you can load some pretty nice charts from freestockcharts.com, and though there is still lag on some, you can still get a bit of a handle on your watches...Forex is live stream on that and actually has a little nicer Vista Vs Atari, stockcharts vs Meta4 feel to it...

Color me a dork for the flickering lights and fancy colors, I keep em all open!

I still wonder what is pushing EURO up against the good old USD. Is anybody or group of bodies playing at some mischief.Well lets wait and see what happens. Am still waiting the bull will soon or later be slaughtered by the matador.
