I modified this from original G7_usd indicator and due to addition of one more currency level values must have changed but it would have changed in linear proportion. So, there was no problem for me as I was interested in crossing of strength and not the level. In original indicator it was used as indication of trend after touch currencies to +/- 1.0 value. But it is not sure that this will give the 100% correct measure of trend. You may need to calibrate yourself and decide on these values.
As far as Alert is concerned I did not touch that part of code so I am not able to say anything about it.

First of all, thank you wjq for a wonderful system!!!

I'm a forex newbie and have gone through this entire thread and have demoed and real traded several attempts at this system. My overall results are in the positive, but I have always wanted to see if there is a way of fine tuning it further to improve, avoid or exit earlier from potential "bad" trades once entered...

I've made some observations which when backtested on all currency pair enteries that I had entered (and by eyeballing potential enteries that I had missed... guess you can't be awake 24/7!!! lol ), it seems that I may have come across something interesting. As I said these are purely observations...

The only problem though is that it would require being glued onto the screen from the settup entry/actual entry until the exit..... and even on a m15 this could still be a very long time, and most of us have other lives too ;P

My feeling though is that it has the potential for developing an EA, inclusive of these observation criteria. As such, I'd be particularly interested if there are any programmers out there who could help out....

I noticed jdtrader, in post 908 was looking at doing just that, but that was quite a while ago (July 2010)... so if jdtrader, if you're still out there or any body else interested I'd be up for discussing things further.

I'm more than happy to detail my observations (which other's may have picked up on already) here on FF if anybody interested..... observations are based on the G7-USD indicator once all the signals for a potential trade stack up, and can help to avoid a trade at times, but mostly when to get out of a trade... often earlier and often at BE or even slight profit, BEFORE stop-loss hit...

I'm not sure why, but I tried this indi but no lines is showing up.
can someone tell me what's wrong?
I copy the ex4 files to expertsindicator.

set the indicator parameter to "6303590"

Hi sdafilli, i`m also forex newbie, but experienced programmer (not mql4 but other languages). I wrote some EA`s with mql4, and there was no problem to me with programming part.
If you still think that this strategy has a potential, then we can try to make EA for it.

Hi all;
Can someone tell me if I understand the premise of this method correctly?

Basically, we're looking for a strong currency against a weak currency. Then we wait for the strong currency to have a pullback so we can enter in the direction of its trend. We use Fib 38/61 as entry point. Is that basically it? Thank you.

I've been looking for a good Fibonacci system. 100 pips a day sounds great!
Fibonacci has always fascinated me. I've use them often, but could not find a good thread here to help me improve their use.
I'll take a look at the Bobokus thread. Thank you for sharing.

Trying this Fib system as well. I'm using this on a demo Account with IBFX.

Seems easy to use and consistent. BOTH good things when it comes to Forex!
