and if you run it via a virtual machine, it gives you the advantage of actually restore your XP or whatever you installed in ur Bootcamp no more than an hour... which a fresh reinstall of XP would probably take...

no... look how Apple is winning against microsoft in the past year regarding macs for business consumption...
businesses are likely to purchase macs to run XP than to have to replace a PC every single year because of hardware failure and incompatible hardware as PC hardwares get updated "TOOO often" not that its a bad thing but its costly for IT and research institutes to have to reinvest all the time...
Not cost effective...
I am perfectly fine with my mac, well i only run that MT4 but oh well its serving me well.... oh and i love the fact i can multitask on a mac better than on a PC...

simply because you can run XP as if it was an App on mac using Vitural Machines or VMware

I really don't see the point at all...in having a Mac...

If I wanted to spend 2-4x the same money to buy a machine to do the same thing I already can do, plus limit me on other apps and machine upgrades by their proprietary bullshit, I would..but I won't...

I really don't think their is anything wrong with Windows based computers...but more so on the person that sits on the other side of the keyboard.

Put any right tool into wrong hands, you are still looking at potential for catastrophe...

Bootcamp's not pussy... i just install my xp on another partition... but i use parallels desktop to run xp application like you are... integrated onto the mac seamlessly...

I dunno maybe there's something to it, all the mac heads I know rave about them, personally I'm quite happy with windows...

good point tho' the computer is just a tool to do the job...

the new high we made today has thrown me off to be honest... all i can see is more upmove but something still tells me to wait for that short - its coming... ... we could see the previous moves as ABC zig zags... but you are right and i have switched elliott wave off atm... just scalping when i see fit... not been trading much as i've been busy at work. hoping to get back into it - after we see a clear move..

i had a long on usd/cad which i close for +40 pips but that was a very small position as i don't usually trade that pair... also have a 4 pip spread on it ..

1.3946 marks the 78.6% fib..

-could also be forming a bearish bat/gartley.. one of those i need to look at my literature...
-is close to the the monthly R1...
-and also the descending TL on daily...

so we may not see 1.40... are you trading any other pairs atm? its nice to stay out too - make time to read more about the markets etc

Agreed...when I was into graphics and doing some webdesign there were some issues I ran across, and was assisted by a Mac...getting passed that, and because I don't play with the same stuff no more, I can get by with a PC...

I am more comfortable in a Windows environment, plus, I go through a laptop typically every 18 months, damage more often times then it being fault of the book...easier pill to swallow not needing a Mac.

the question is, why partition your hd then? i gave this a thought as well, but having the virtual image of xp in a single file, i copy that to a usb- or fw-device and can restore my whole trading computer in like what? 3 minutes?

but that's just a personal preference, I take it...

and now let's enjoy the 1000 reasons, why apple is shit, and too expensive... we get all the chicks
