Channel Trading

Hi traders, I just got back, I've been at a 3D shoot with archery all day. The temp started out at 21degrees with winds 25 to 30 miles per hr. By mid day temp was close to 40degrees with winds at 35 to 45miles per hr. One of the toughest days to shoot an arrow I've ever had. But I took 1st place by the end of the day. I shoot traditional bow a re curve or a longbow. Today I shot my re curve called a Critter Getter. My face feels like I've been in a sand plaster. I'm ready to start watching the markets now. I need to watch a little more on this gab trading before I venture into one. But looks good on this thread for lessons.

Question on gap. Do you watch for the widest gap and trade right away on the close of the gap as markets open, Or do you wait to see if the gap will widen and reverse on the lower time frame before entering. I see all types of compo-nation.

In this trade long.

I was in a channel trade long when my TP was hit as I posted the chart. +15 pips.

The PA moved significantly in the opposite direction. There was no fill, and I have exited these positions.

Now watching eurusd and eurjpy for possible 4CBO on the H1 charts.

Had a couple-o-questions / clarifications if I may:

Page one of the thread suggests that you use SR for setting TP & SL.

>Is this practiced with both the 3T & 1H4CBO ?

>Do you establish these parameters for all TFs on 3T - resulting in also having that info readily available for the BO trades? Is this something you keep in your head, insomuch as I see no lines on the naked chart providing that data.

>When establishing the SR levels, how "far back" do you look in each time frame?

Looks like this thread is becoming a "family". I sure have learned a lot in a very brief amount of time and wanna say thanks to all. I've got a lot of questions developing - and - some thoughts that one may find profitable.

Can someone gimme a hand on this? I remember reading the instructions awhile back & just gleaned over the past 25 or so pages with no luck.

I am tryin' (duh) to post some screen shots...I go to file > save as picture > click active chart & save to desktop. Now - I can't seem to post the shot w/ commentary -- BUT am able to add as an attachment.

Here's how I do it. When the chart is up, I hitthe PrtSc buton and paste in paint. I can then cut, draw arrows, etc., whatever modifications I want to do to the chart. Then I save it to my desk top. I hit post reply, add attachment, select the file from my desktop, and there it is. Then if I want to write something under the chart, just add it under the chart. Hope this helps.
