No on the confluences , but if there are then so much the better .

I like the MML as they just show those 30 pip blocks well. 1.3732 being a MML right now that we bounced off to the pip.

The marketprofile indie changes when you change time frames in MT4 .. it should not but it does. Maybe a whiz programmer can sort that out for you . In esignal I have something similar that remains static no matter the time frame . The point of max volume (point of control) for the day will not change due to the time frame changing ( or should not) .

I use marketprofile as primary s/r and mml just as guide for scalping in and out in those 30 pip blocks

If you go to a 60 min chart and place 240 period mml on it you will find the mml are spaced 60 pips apart, as days range is typically 120 OR 180 pip pretty damn handy

i believe elliot wave, moving averages, macd, stochastics, price action formation is all a bunch of crapp, the euro/usd has defy any technical study, although i made some pips, its time to come up with a different strategy.

with such a large liquid market, with so many players, it does not act like the stock market where technical studies can yield good result as we have people betting on performance of companies.

forex is the performance of currencies against eachother that at anytime could be regulated by the central banks.



a different approach should be in place.

back to naked charts S/R seem like b/s too.

back to the drawing board. i feel like im gambling even if i make some money, i dont have an idea of where this pair is going or what its really doing,

Yup, another retrace down then we may continue up again. It's so slow right now though not worth entering any trades.

Even if I would have taken that last long I would have banked maybe like 6-7 pips.

Yep, I'm still in my trade for now, expecting to get stopped at 1.3760 however... looks like the brains of the forum were right... i should just follow them...

I mentioned when this was the topic of the day that this claim it utter bullshit. Even posting the losers is nonsense, the handling of them is debatable, though I think, everybody has their own strategy.

I for myself cut losing positions relatively early, given the fact that I tend to chose "quite" safe entries. I usually don't wait for retests on small tf, but take partial profit very early, so when it comes back, I have a little wiggle-room. I don't let any position run against me for dozens of pips any more.

the whole scalping-business is - for the lack of a better expression - noise, when posted and forgotten about quickly, if not the poster is loud-mouthing the trade.
the much more interesting part is to find the bits and pieces that (can) lead to either a longer-term scalp, or even a position.

just my 2ct.

Still in mine, too. I've been faked out so many times today that I'm guessing this is another fake.

Of course, this will be the time it's not a fake. They're always a step ahead.

My thoughts exactly! There is no sense in me positing my trades as I am constantly all over the place. Occasionally i'll chime in with levels I am looking at for over all targets (even if they are only 30 pips away), but more often then not, that 30 pip completion gets a few long and short trades along the way.

It's not uncomment for me to pull in several 1 pip trades, 10-15 pip trades are my average returns, the occasionally random run with a 30-60+'er.

With that information in mind, it's absolutely essential to recognize losers and close them out. It is rather pointless if I am getting 10 winning trades in a row only to be nulled by one bad looser.

" they" is a myth.... especially in the forex business, any transaction in foreing currency is foreing exchange and moves the rate.

corporations buying 2 billion euros, a turist exchanging his USD for pesos

who is doing the FAKE OUTS?

i think our strategy is flawed if we have to think of conspiracy, even though stop sweeping does occur from your broker as he has to pay you out of pocket. as he is a bucket shop. eventually the currency should move they way it should.
