Hi ,

Four hours ago (12:30 GMT) there was some news. I had two opened orders (opened by THV EA 1.134) and they reached SL. I lost about 70 pips. I just want to ask you how did you deal with this event, if anyone of you had been forward testing this robot today.

Thanks Vitaliy, I am glad you are running the test for me sounds like it is really using alot of your resources on your computer. Stop getting me excited by using statement such as 'performance looks amazing', you make it sound like I discovered the holy set file. Only forward testing in the new trading week can determine if we are onto something.

I am using MM because I want to cover the losses but it sounds like for the last 9 days of your testing there has been only one loss.

It would be good if you do run it without MM if you want your computer to work overtime, last week I tested it on a demo account the pips it generated was very healthy it only had one loss, but I haven't shared this set file until now because I wanted to make sure it has potential. On every pair except for the EURO/USD results range from 10 - 200 pips in profit for the week. The EURO/USD was the one which out performed all the other pairs and is the safest bet. If your backtesting is good and my forward testing shows good results maybe we will have a good set file for the Euro/Usd.

I just loaded it in my EA, I don't know what happened to the MM.
I ran it on the first week because as you said it's not a good period. I wanted to show you how it works during low volume or ranging market.

Not too bad at all, I'm on 02.16 already wtih 3 more losses, which are 0.04 lots and are considerable drowdawn to the balance, about an hour left ...

Very good and hopeful, I'm impressed.
If you want my suggestion, don't change more than one parameter at the same time, and when you change something, test it on some days and then decide whether it got better or not. Take notes of changes that already made and the things you want to change later.
And before all of those, test it on some more weeks.

interesting results ... do you have TP like 5 pips and SL like 50 ??? I'm trying to avoid hard SL and TP, instead to use indi based exits

Wow Vitaliy thanks for all your time in backtesting my set file, will look forward to see what you come up with without MM. I did forward test it 2 weeks ago and I think it produced 270 pips for that week.

So the results so far

Exking tested it over 5 days from Jan 3 - 7 not great trading days, so a good example of how it handles low volume, SL was 50 pips TP was 25 pips not really to my MM and TP but it was still a test which used the timeframes and thats is important.

Vitaliy tested from Feb 1-18 using my set file with MM (waiting for his test results with out MM)

So far we have

Exkings Test +61 pips
Vitaliy test (with MM settings) +130 pips
