well..first trade closed +17...coupled with + 18 from USDCHF made back 30 pips lost on GU.

2nd trade still in play + 45 pips atm, may close it soon depending on PA.

Monthly S hold, weekly R threaten to break back up (all stops clear with the last move up) with a very "unconventional" speed and time. Although, fading the low of the range on monthly S (1.346x) was a clear and the easier option for the rest of the day (intraday), a break on weekly R (1,357x/5x) at this time and with that speed wasn't expected.

The only FA explanation (TA is clear) is on externalities and looking at the reaction on CHF the impact on risk is evident. FOMC will put the final point of this week range. If close around these levels, Daily will point to a new rejection of lasts swing lows (and daily S) opening 1.390x again....

We'll see

gato is this the reason for this spike up for eur/usd ? there is no technical reason for this...geopoliticaleconomic reason you think ?

yeah, I said it was going up overall. I gave you a low target that was over shot this morning. i think i said 3594. that post however, is from monday i think, as my long long term analysis. again, i did not anticipate these wide swings but who could?

i didnt catch this bounce.. i actually gave some back -9 and -9..
the swissy (safe haven) and commodity's are probably the eu driver. but at some point someone is gonna say wtf???

Neither do I, only those who were already fading the very bottom of the range could take that position (and the lucky ones around ...) Agree with level 1.357x in my case...daily chart in play today on the close...

Latest update sounds less threatening about plans for 2 Iranian warships to transit thru Suez canal en route to port at Syria for some time. While the move was called a "provocation" by Israel's Foreign Minister, he noted it poses no significant military threat. Separately, Reuters notes that Iran's semi-official Fars news agency back in late Jan said that Iranian navy cadets had been dispatched on a year-long training mission going via the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea and on thru the Suez Canal. NY March crude backing down to $85 handle from earlier spike high near $86.
