Don't you use AV... talk about paranoia. Should you even be on the Internet? Any web page can be malformed to deliver a hidden treasure!

Are you having a giraffe? Never heard of Ubuntu. Whack VMWare on that or use WINE to use MT4. Even simpler, buy a fooking AV and set it to auto-update on Windows. No need to re-install... what a waste of time!

I've been on it more than 15 years and only got a pc infected in the early years. I got wise to it and have been very vigilant since then.

It is a regular occurance to most everyone else I know. And most of them didn't know it even happened for months/years. I would guess many posting on this thread right now have something hidden on their systems.

So paranoid, you bet your ass when my income depends on it that a keystroke copier is not recording my every move and/or an emailspam program is not running in the backround robbing my pc of resources.

So go ahead and laugh. Ignorance is bliss. Right? Believe you Av will protect everything everywhere.

Better safe than sorry and I'll take the ridicule happily wearing my tinfoil hat.

The VSA argument will run and run, but it's not as easy as simply looking at an indicator and taking the bet. There's a lot to understand in order to be able to trade using VSA. I have a very limited knowledge of VSA when compared to people like Malc and DrG and it is in no way infallable, BUT it can provide vital clues where the market is likely to go and as importantly, where it's likely to stop.

To clarify the whole pros sell into strength and buy into weakness:

A high volume, wide spread downbar which closes at or near it's bottom is NOT BULLISH. and vice versa it's upbar equivalent.

A high volume, wide spread downbar which closes well off it's bottom may signify some buyers have stepped in, but is not confirmation of bullishness.

A high volume, narrow spread downbar, (when compared to previous, ie background volume), may signify some professional buying or seller exhaustion.

A high volume, narrow spread downbar, which closes well off it's bottom, does signify buying. Just how much we need to wait for confirmation.

All seems obvious doesn't it...?

Here's what VSA adds:

A low volume downbar which closes well off it's lows does not necessarily mean buyers have stepped in. Low volume signifies indecision or trend continuation.

It's a tool. Some can use it almost exclusively, while others, (me), use it for an extra perspective.

You have to learn how it works though, it's not a visual indi in the traditional sense.

TradeStation doesn't run on Mac.

And I ain't gonna do the run Mac on a PC virtual or otherwise.

And I an't missing all that much that I would reinstall windows every month. Come on now. I have a hard enough time save data to a backup.

Ubuntu kinda sucks. I've run Mac for years now, Its much better. As for VMWare Fusion and Parallels, there about the same.

I do have a couple of windows 7 laptops (this is one) and I'm fully acquainted with AV.

I haven't run antivirus software for around 5 years. All windows environments on all machines, psept the wife, she had to have a Mac....

Retail virus scanners are Junk as far as I am concerned, they are to computers what volume is to Forex...A total waste of time! <-(tee hee hee)

Save early, save often, and yeah, if the Fit hits the Shan, Scrub the machine and start over fresh...

I've been working in the IT industry for 20 years and a number of years in IT security, so I think I know what I am talking about. People get infected because they don't update their AV or OS or their AV license has expired, but they think that once purchased they have protection for life. Updates should be automatic these days, unless you're an idiot who turned it off or set it to manual. AV is part of one's total security solution, but no solution can be 100%... nothing is, unless you disconnect yourself from the Internet.

Again you are right. The situation with eurusd is by far not as clear as one would like to see. Nearly all impulsive moves since the top at 1.42x can be counted as corrective too.

There is constantly a good reason for doubt.

A good supporting help is the use of sentiment data, which fairly support my actual counts so far.

If certain levels break to the upside, we will be set in a completely different situation. That does not necessarily mean the loss of the bearish case, not at all, but it can mean...
Nice to read & store information , great way to see ew using indicators specially AO & rsi , worth learning .

It sucks because you don't know how to use Ubuntu. I think Macs suck and used by suckers prepared to pay Jobs a premium on some fancy hardware that only runs a small fraction of software available.

setup proper firewall settings and antivirus no need for paranoia,and dont browse porn on your trading pc and all gonna be fine edited (oanda still shows fridays rate not open as of yet.)
