We need a daily or even weekley close below current levels for the bears to hangaround. Looks like we may not get it today. Sunday Asian session should be a important time for the medium trend. If we don't get it then we might bounce around between 1.375 region and 1.35 region for next couple of weeks

I have this here, but really the hour makes it uncomfortable for me.

For later on yes could be a slowly progress to lows again..

True, but it will also send the politicians to the microphones with their bravado thinly wrapping implied threats of intervention if the market tries to spook, and the G7+ central banks sending their junkyard dogs to the fence snarling and barking.

I love it when the market goes right to the fence and calls a CB bluff. They were flashing big sizes on the ECNs just a bit ago, and the offers just when right on down and said "call ya. Let's see your hand."

It's holding for now, but we'll see. If the BoJ gets called in from the bullpen in the next few hours, it's gonna be all that much harder for them to hold this line.

Not sure if this was covered earlier by Cloggie but 3508 is a major, major old fib level, 50% retrace of the Dec 09 high to the Jun 10 low...

Yep, '21 and '22. The BTU content of the smaller notes was more than their purchasing power. Burned 'em for cooking.

i closed half. but picked up the others at 16 pips cheaper. we didnt hit 3450 area yet. we are also below 3524 ........ with closes ... and breached the resent low. thats a bear to me

Take Elliott waves on commodity charts and you will see what I mean.

And as I said earlier: it is often (most often) the case, but there are exceptions....

Maybe it has to do with how much wave 5 extends.......

I explained earlier why I closed (no momentum) and that only a good reversal sign of a bounce could tempt me back in. I tend not to leave money on the table unnecessary.

Does the Elliott analysis on gold's collapse coincide with a call for USD strength?

It would be real interesting to see a long TF Elliott analysis of the CRB index; if it's calling gold way down, it should also call everything way down, I'd guess.
