A little more, a bit more upward, I will be looking at 83.20-30 before days end, at least that is what I will be hoping for. 82.60 and change will be the last hurdle.

82.50 was a good resistance level and when it broke it earlier tonight it seemingly had strong momentum. Stalled around 82.60; my daily R1. My hopes have just about faded for a nice upward move today...but who knows?

Don't loose hope Astroman Price is hesitating because of the Bernanke speech tonight. Price has coiled, ready for an upside breakout in my opinion and once there is nothing shocking in the speech the way will be open for some serious upside move...

Hey guys, hows it going?
We have bounced beautifully off the monthly pivot.
Would like to see a follow through on up to the 83.20 area and onto the monthly R1.
We are just slipping back down now towards 82.50 and hoping for a bounce and fresh buyers.

USD/JPY – Despite a weaker greenback, the pair finished the session little changed in the mid-82.00 region. It is worth noting that Moody’s said a lack of success by the Japanese government on fiscal reform would have a negative implication for the country’s credit rating, while deputy managing director of the IMF Naoyuki Shinohara said that Japan’s large debt burden is also unsustainable. However at the same time the Nikkei Business Daily reported that the central bank may upgrade its assessment of the overall economy at a monetary policy meeting next week. In terms of technical levels, supports are seen at 82.00 and then at 81.77. On the other hand, resistance levels are seen at 82.78/93 and then at 83.00.

That all sounds about right.......this thing will go north sooner or later, but the way it's staying down here is quite impressive really. Still, it's just a matter of time before some event kicks this thing off!

Hey realjumper, hows it going?

Like you, I'm still bullish long term.
Looks like we might have to fight through the purple cloud as there has been keen sellers in this area lately.
Also we need to break through the descending red trend line which coincides with the 4/8 MML.
82.80 May turn out to be a good shorting area, although I will try and wait to see if we have enough momentum to break through this resistance.
The above also goes hand in hand my M5 chart also, with resistance at 82.75.
