the point is that increases and decreases in ticks or price movements are generated by increases and decreases in trade activity, the whole point of vsa is to identify when there are increases and decreases in trade activity within the context of bar OHLC, to read what the underlying market dynamics (order flow) are doing...

We don't need to know actual traded vol, it is irrelevant...

Does that make it clearer?

Cool. If it works over six months then trade it forever. I think a bullish/bearish engulfer does the same thing.

jealousy you have to do post 20 the account manager that I am not?, login and investor. the life you envy is never progress. wish you the more advanced.

whatever works for them. I like mechanical systems with little discretion but if the volume thing works for your personality then fire away. I'm willing to bet pivots are far more accurate than any vol indi you have but i can't prove that. I have no issue with the doc... seems like a nice guy that knows how to trade. Just adding my 2 cents.

the thing is with the nature of price movements in FX and particularly EU, if you are entering on the break of an engulfing bar, I think you are asking to get stopped out on the re-test, just my 2 cents, also depends on support/resistance, time frame, trend structure, etc. etc. each to their own...
