Yes correct. It's just so fascinating that the universal hedge trade can turn in to profit knowing that the pairs are just hedging each other.

Can I ask you guys to play with this version please and report results.

What it does is invert the trades for UJ and UC. Therefore, if the overall basket is a buy, it sells these two pairs and vice versa.

Anybody wants me to add further correlated pairs, sing out.

I am going to add code to offer the ability to invert all pairs against the prevailing trade direction.

Watch the HedgeAtLossPips in the recent upload - it was set at 20 not 200 because I was playing with this setting earlier.

This version has been taking profits. But also losing ALOT. Seems to be at or near breakeven most of the time. It does have legs though 1 knee may have torn something.

Yes, me too. It might be worthwhile just trading during European hours. Worth a try, perhaps.

Hi! Steve,

Merry Christmas. Here is the revision of the email I sent to you before Christmas. This is a Basket type of EA that draws a new kind of filtering approach in complimentary with the BWBB (with Inverted Balls) filters . First the individual pair vUPL in the virtual mode start calculating once the EA is dragged into the chart. For demoing purposes, lets assigned a criterion of -+5 pips vUPL for buy and sell trade. A pair that passes to the second stage into the basket is said to have met the criterion. Once a pair is in the basket it’s vUPL is Zeroed out and calculation of the true tUPL begins. Total No. of Pairs in the Basket limited to 6 Pairs at one time but have the ability to choice trade in one or both direction.

Entry Strategy:
tUPL >= 5 vUPL Pips && RSI >= 55; -5 vUPL Pips && RSI =< 45.

Lot Compounding:
2 cents per $100 Capital. Lot size to increase per $100 of equity increased. Subsequently negative DD will decrease your lot as well.

Culling of Losing Pairs:
A pair that turned around on the opposite direction with a tUPL of 20 pips as a rule will automatically be closed. This will cut DD to minimal especially during the NY session where volatility is high due to news releases. After culling, we expect that the Basket be filled with a pair with the highest probality of success. Hence, I encourage the need to experiment the right vUPL to start with.

Let your profit run:
Closing of profitable pairs at the users’ discretion.

I prefer this one to remain in this thread than opening a new one. Let's name the EA as "The Basketpiper (TBP)".

I hope you understand that my attention is drawn elsewhere. I hope to look at this sometime. I cannot guarantee that this will be sometime soon.

Steve, Thanks for the info. Take your time. I am having fun with the 2 Baskets and making profits both in demo and live based on the above suggestions/proposal.

FWIW, here is a pretty good correlation table: http://www.mataf.net/en/tools/01-01-correlation

This is particularly useful, since my broker doesn't support NZDUSD. Helps me look for alternative currencies. Be sure and talke a look at the charts, especially the day & weekly. See how the correlation always comes back to harmony.
