I'm lucky to have all the guys that I admire open up their minds for me to learn.
I like to add though that the M1 chart has the most money than any chart in tech analysis that I know, and if you first excel in M1, you will excel in anything above.
I'm not saying M1 is the best chart for trading, but it is for scalping.
There are those who rely on the relationship of higher TFs when scalping M1 (I am one of them) and then then there are those who only need a naked candle chart and a news calender(I have not reached this level although I would like to)
The M1 will always temporarily respect any S/R level it finds in its path (unless of-course if there is news/ or stops trigger domino effect) and if you know how to recognize those S/Rs scalping M1 becomes the easiest thing in TA.
I have great respect for successful M1 scalpers and scalping in general. It toughens you against emotions, teaches you discipline and most importantly makes you excel in Market Flow analysis.
Same goes for those who can manage both directions at the same time in real market with two brokers or in retail with (h)nedging. It is a true test of what a trader is made of.
No matter where you are (M15, H1 or wherever) it will always be tough to succeed without knowing what other TFs are doing
I might post a chart eg. H1 and say level .xxxx was good entry and then in your mind you wonder how cause the chart show one huge candle crossing that level, forgetful to check M15/M5/M1 to see that they respected the level, broke it and then validated the break to the other direction(and that was my entry)
And stop loss level shouldn't be a rigid routine but there should always be a maximum threshold to let you know that you are WRONG or maybe your timing wasn't right, which still equals LOSS.
Never fool yourself into entering the market without a bailout plan!
I am not good at explaining stuff due to language which is why I can't say much. I rather learn than teach. and I rather trade and lose than post calls on FF.com. I can only share my view and/or sentiment/bias, which is = my personal emotional and stress levels
and you shouldn't put your money on that

And I made 4.9% on NAV from last Friday.

charts on daily, weekly, even the lower TF's are all pointing down... there is a struggle to climb atm... Two sources of elliott wave count say this could be the 3 wave in all degrees so the drop is gonna be hard.... and i mean real HARD. Possibly more extreme than we've seen in the past year... this is all speculative till we see it but I am selling this puppy till at least 1.34... if 1.34 breaks hard - hello 1.30.
will post charts of my analysis later on today... meanwhile AU is a downer too towards 1.0070.

the herd is always coming way too late to the party, thanks to psychology of the masses we know that they will most likely act alltogether. i would more than sh't my pants to think of shorting after such an occurence since behind the curtain big traders have to buy such moves since they do not trade microlots as the most in here 
as soon as eur "sells off" everybody screams for 1.30 and lower. there is no coincidence in sending you totally biased into the weekend, the more you are, the harder the rally will be. we won't top on bad news out of the eur region and with pending egypt crap. 1.40 sooner than you think.
just want to remember you when eur was 1.29 last nfp and i was screaming bottom and just shakeout of longs below psychological 1.30...same as cloggie who clearly expressed not to sell. the bashing then began and everybody was screaming for 1.25...lol. entertainment at its best.

I do agree with you that my perspective need adjustment. I will wait until this down trend gets in the vicinity of 1.3250. This will be middle of a previous range.
Three things make me long:
1. Dow crossing 12,000 mark
2. Have many times experienced a bounce of 200 to 250 pips just before pa again attempts at an old major range.
3. Last leg of the trend in the attachment is still above the last major range
Forgive me for butting in Chicky.
With the Dow above 12000 and the Dollar still gaining strength I'm not sure you'll get a good bounce up anywhere. If oil remains where it is you have a shot, but right now I'm betting we see $120 a barrel (or something in that neighborhood) which means a correction in the DOW to the down side.
I maybe full of sh!t and we see 1.43ish by the end of the month, but its not looking that way to me.

you are right about he herd but 1.4 remains to be seen, won't it? daily and weekly did some interesting things on my charts.
daily shows 1.406 upside, 1.3401 downside
weekly 1.4390, and 1.29.
