only usdx is so damn weak, around 76 would give more secure environment....

I'm in too...from 81.35....same SL. As you say, given the USDX weakness, I'm not too confident about this trade, but time will tell.

I think this is good time to go long, too.
BOJ is not very happy about the "excessive strength" of yen and promised possible intervention.

However, we have US Unemployment and non-farm Employment figures on Friday, so we're in for some volatility as the week winds down. One should scale the position sizes accordingly.

Albeit it's unlikely the figures will fall far from consensus, any significant divergence will set the USD mood for next week.
Any negativity, perceived or real, can keep this pair sliding..

Conversely, I forgot to add, a positive surprise will see this pair snap back up well above 82.

Me neither, well it's recovering a bit on Yen weakness atm, that's a plus

Nice trade guys!

I was too conservative. I did manage to get in on a long GBP/JPY for the long haul. Will have to wait for a retrace on USD/JPY before going long. Seems to be hitting resistance around the 81.50 area though.

Indeed it does......I have the DP at 81.60 but somehow I don't think this trade is going to fly. It was worth the try,and it may yet fly, but I have my doubts!

Edit: As a rule, I try to not enter long from under the DP, but this one was worth the punt....and I don't usually do that either! Still, it's a free trade now

I just woke up to see a nice rise in this pair.....too bad I got stopped at be (81.37) while I slept though!! Never mind, there's plenty more later. Hope your trade is still alive?

sorry to hear, yes am still in, SL @ 81.336 wow saved by just a few pips I see now, well keep it running looks like a nice base has build there....

Glad you're still in. My stop is no biggie, plenty more chances yet to come

In my summer months, the USA session starts at 2am, which makes it difficult to stay up and watch the action. I'll wait until Asian session and see where the DP is going to be and what the pa is likely to do, and make a re-assesment of the situation.

Long at 81.57, looking to squeeze 30 pips from the initial chaotic spikes, so as not to hold it over weekend (hopefully).

Position relatively small. Willing and able to turn into swing trade, if need be.
$-cost average at 81 if things go south.
