well fundamentally we had broke our trend line and had all the momentum, guess someone is manipulating the market to make sure the euro stays positive. and this move was before us unemployment claims. A worse than expected german cpi is more important than the unemployment claims that come out every week. so we should have seen more drop in the euro

IMHO, you are reading the news in a too linear way (I wish it was that easy). "Small" expected reports like the last ones only work in the context of the general fundamental trend and intraday to move the markets to "value" areas where you can load or unload position.

German data was more important in the context of the macro picture as the expectations are high on EZ inflation and therefore interest rate hike pressures that added to the end of the short term fears on debt crisis are pushing this move up. US #s are in general slightly negative but in the mean (so nothing special) but still housing data coming.

So for example, if you want to play fundamentals short term, you sell the highs (as inflation was less than expected) and not the lows and wait for any news and TA reason to sell the highs .....

Obviously this is a very basic notion and is not a trading plan nor the only way to trade FA....just my 2 cents to analyze FA from a more dynamic perspective...

Intra day double top, don't think it would come back down if it break 1.3750 until at least 1.38. That saying unlikely it gets back up to that level.
