Hi everybody...

so now CPI in Germany was -0.5 instead of -0.3 (expected).
ECB Bini Smaghi was worried about rising inflation in europe.... is he still?

Hello all,
Since this is my first post I'd like to introduce myself very-very briefly: my name is David and I have started trading in Forex just recently. I am here to learn, have been reading the board for quite some time, learnt a lot of things and hope I can learn more. I hope you will bare with me, if I ask something obvious it's not ignorance it's just that I wish to learn.

First question is.. 20 mins from now there'll be three quite major statements, I wonder whether you can tell me what effect will they have time-wise. I hope it's not going to be as crazy as it was yesterday with the FOMC.

i am thinking....even if news are right for us....it's goinna be a spike north for no reason......like it happend several times today and yesterday

Well I wouldn't mind a retest of the 1.3750/60 high to see if it'll hold for a shot short. That would be my ideal entry.

i am talking about a 70-80 pip spike.....

That would put it up close to 1.38; on the daily it is possible, the next area of resistance up there is a swing back on the 22nd of Nov 2010.

If we see a spike though I see it only 30-40 pips to it's high, if it breaks then we're looking further upside but other than that we're coming back down to at least 1.37.

..trend direction movement. Nothing big will happen, only trend direction pips.

378x is now next key inflection level (Nov high), since price has now taken out 374x 61.8% fr...

and remember we have more numbers to follow at 15:00 gmt...

Hi all,

Is somebody else having problems with OANDA this morning?... seems like it's unable to load the eu chart but ok working with other pairs. Any comment? cheers

Nope I'm on oanda with a live acct (are you on demo?) and I've been fine so far.

same to you, EJ is the wild one. the point i was trying to make is that there are many pips running around inside an one hour candle, and waiting is waisting time, but nonetheless it's a valid way of trading.

I personally feel until we see some consecutive daily lows shorts are going to be the more difficult trades to make profit on.
