Right now i'm looking at adding the TMA Centered indicator in the EA, but it won't work yet. If any coder could take a look and post the minimum required code to get the middle/center line of this indicator?
According to http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...47&postcount=6 the indicator is just a WLMA, but somehow a WLMA with the same settings looks different than the center line of TMA Centered.

SOLVED: thanks to squalou for explaining the code!

Just a quick test with a WLMA(112):

So, just a little less profit, higher profit factor (38,74) and 7,44% relative drawdown. But negative side effect: only 5 trades in 2 year... might work on that one to get some improvement

So it looks like a good addition, net. profit becomes somewhat lower (+/- 300 dollar), profit factor up to 45,98, and relative drawdown goes from 33,30% to 7,44%, so i think that makes it worth it to use the TMA. also 1 trade extra (so now 6 in 23 months....)

It is normal when you start the trade is not set the TP
when the trade is closed?
There have been situations where we have reached even 120 pips in positive but then the trade was closed in negative ... Is this normal?

Here's te report for V10 with EMA48 (the V10 in Post #1 has now EMA48 set as default, uploaded again)

optimization is during the specified period, so market can change every year. you will get different optimum results for each year. its difficult to get optimum settings for all market conditions...

The modelling quality was also very low , iam not regulary backtesting EA´s with MT4 but i have read very often that if you backtest with MT4 it shouldnt be below 90% modelling quality.

Maybe its alos a good idea to refine that EA with ideas from this thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=218962

I guess the simples adding of the Awesome Oscillator as entry and exit filter would match well

however, you cannot depend on MT4 to trade this.

MT4 will DEFINITELY miss your entry by a considerable probability due to broker manipulation and MT4 internal flaw. Once an entry is missed, your return will be heavily affected since you have only 10 trades in 2 yrs.

since it is a daily system, you'd better add an alert function to remind the user to verify entries.

Based on the massive pip gain, missing the entry by 2/3 pips wont hurt. Will it?

At this rate it'll take 3 years to forward test it. An EA can be great but it won't matter if it only takes a couple of trades a year.
in 2 years. It's a long wait, how long will the trade remain open for?
Why not use another one that is better? any pay a few hundred dollars? there must be some out there that you know of?
