I hear ya... the last 15m candle hardly moved 9 pips....
all against gains.. ugh

hey lawgirl21,

just got a question regarding the drawings of these.

currently looking at a H4 EURUSD chart as below and just wondered if you had some "Rules" you could let me know of with regards to drawing the trendlines - such as the one you mention by "waiting for new Period Seperators", however I have seen sometimes they can be drawn a bit backwards and sometimes more than once etc.

Edit: PH22 what indicator is that you have with pop up alerts etc, the one found done by Steve or another one?

Hi ConstantFX, it's another one. Attached below.

Attach to charts.
Drawn your line (trend or horizontal) as normal then double click.
On common tab on description line type:
Alert_ and number of pips away from line u want alert. ie if u want a 5 pip warning type Alert_5 if u want 20 Alert_20 etc
Note the "A" of Alert must be capitalised.
(See pic below)
I don't use the email option so can't help with that.

these work well...just drop them onto a chart and adjust them to where you want notifying...one up and one for down break

It's part of Alexander Elder's impulse system. The bottom is a heat map showing 15min, 30min, 60min, 2hr, and 4hr time frames. The candles are painted in accordance to the 5min version of that same indicator. The chart is a bit messy, I've been tinkering around with the beta version of TradingStation (love it).

Out of respect for the OP (lawgirl) and others at this thread may I respectfully suggest that you read first couple of post. I think OP's intention was to get away from mass indicators and focus on specific style of trading posted on the first post. Just my opinion.

BTW anybody watching USD/CHF H1 BO?

No worries. Just thought it was uncanny how similar our trading styles are. The Elder's Impulse system is something new I've been trying.

Normally I trade with my breakout indicator, guppy multiple moving averages, and trend lines-- nothing else.

I'll keep it on topic from here on out.

Hey peeps, a nice ZC trade setup forming here. I haven't done a lot of those yet, so I'll try it if 4C 1H also pumps. Don't like that last candle though... but it just started. Come on Asia!

At the beginning of the trading week, the first few days, we do "reach back" into the past week for H4 3 Tap set ups. As the week progresses, there is generally no need to reach back.
